Why did you let go so fast?
Marahil ba't malakas ang hangin?
Was the wind too fierce to hold?
Ako'y mistulang saranggola
I am like a kite,
na pilit mong pinalilipad,
you tried so hard to keep flying,
ngunit bago pa man makalipad,
but before I could soar high,
bigla kang bumitaw.
you suddenly let me go.
Bumitaw ka nga ba,
Was it you who let go,
o ako?
or was it me?
Paano na? Ako.
And now, what becomes of me?
