Author's Note - TW

Hey everyone. I just wanted to address something which happened today because I feel it would be right to do so and pay my respects.

What I am saying will contain sensitive topics around violence, so if it makes you uncomfortable please do not read. I genuinely want the best for my readers and would never want to purposefully trigger anyone. 

Today there was a mass stabbing attack at Westfield shopping centre in Sydney. From what I've heard so far, multiple people were stabbed and have been taken to hospitals around the area. Some are in critical condition, while others are stable. This includes a baby, less than a year old, who is a victim to the attack. 

I never thought I'd write about something to this extent happening in Australia. I'm aware we still have stabbings, occasionally shootings, and other violent assaults, but this is something which doesn't happen often so it is a big deal. 

I was in tears watching the news and hearing people's stories on the events which happened this afternoon. I can not imagine how scary it must have been to be in that shopping centre and see people running from a maniac on a stabbing rampage. My heart goes out to the victims, their families, employees working there, the citizens shopping, the emergency services, and anyone else who may be affected. 

This is so horrendous and I really hope everyone recovers from this incident okay. I'm aware this happens in other places apart from Australia, and I would address all these traumatic events if I could, but since this happened locally I have really taken it to heart. 

I hope everyone stays safe and shows love to their close ones. 

I'm not in anyway trying to undermine what I've just spoken about, but I do want to conclude this note with something a little more cheerful.

I'm currently rearranging some chapters and am editing them significantly so I can provide my best work for anyone who reads this story. If I don't release any chapters within the next week, it's because I'm still changing stuff around in published chapters before I continue writing newer ones. 

I do have some really great ideas for this story, and I'm so excited to write it. I have so many stories in drafts that I've never gotten around to publishing so I'm looking forward to having an ongoing piece of work I can continue working on.

I think I moved too fast in the Sully's transition to Earth, so I will be going further in depth on how they adjust to the planet they'll be residing on for a good amount of time. I'm also going to include more chapters in the forest so we can see how Kamea acts in her natural element, as well as her relationships with family in that environment.

That's it for now. Once again, I hope everyone who may be affected by the incident in Sydney today are okay and my heart goes out to them.
