Seeing her like this broke his heart.
On one hand he wanted all that to stop.
He wanted her to be happy and safe.
On the other hand he knew that she was strong.
She took all this better than anyone could.

He was so glad as she finally started eating normally again.
Even tho he couldn't help his jealousy even towards Soap.
He knew nothing would ever happen but this feelings were still there.

Holding her in his arms was all he had ever asked for. But not under this circumstances.
He couldn't bear to see her tears.
He really wanted to help but he just didn't knew how.
He had always sucked in relationships.
But this time he wanted to make it right.

He had to!

After he had calmed her down he had packed away the rest of her things.
As he came back into the living room she was curled up and sleeping on her couch.
He had to smile a little.
She looked so peaceful.

He picked her up and carried her into her bed.
Right as he had tucked her in and was about to get some other stuff done she grunted slightly.
He looked back and saw her rubbing her eyes.

„Sleep you need it Maus"

„Where are you going?"

„I wanted to-„

„Please stay"

Her sleepy voice melted his heart.
He sighed but climbed next to her into her bed.
He picked her up and placed her on his chest.
She wrapped her arms around him and smiled.

„Thank you"

She whispered softly.

„I love you Maus. I would do anything for you"

„I love you too König."

He squeezed her slightly.

„I wish this would never end.
I want this for the rest of my life"

It was more of a thought spoken out loud but she smiled bright and nuzzled her head into his neck.

„But you can have this every day. I'm home König."

That she thought the same way and also wanted this made him smile.

This was his woman.
His happiness.

As he held her tight while she drifted back into sleep he thought about a conversation he had the day before with Gaz.

Gaz was still very upset about the fact that König never told his family what had happened.
König just couldn't.

All the time Mel was in that coma he made up excuses why she wouldn't respond or couldn't talk.
He knew Mel and his sister had grew some kind of bond over this holiday they spend there but this made everything just harder.

He didn't wanted them to worry like he had to.
And now he was in a tricky situation again.
If he told them now they would all be so mad about it.

He knew that Soap was still furious about the fact that he had lied to his family about the relationship.
And now Soap and Gaz were both mad at him.
He just didn't knew how to handle this.

He had begged them to not tell Mel about this.
He could stand that everyone was mad at him but not her.

After some hours of laying there, listening to her even breaths, kissing her head from time to time he made a decision.

He couldn't keep lying.
It always got him into trouble.
He wanted to do better.
For him and mostly for Mel.
She deserved this.
The best.
And not some lying coward.

He smiled slightly as she twitched in her sleep and suddenly mumbled his name.
He looked down to see if she was awake.

But she was sounds asleep.
His heart felt like bursting.
He could have never imagined that this woman would have such an effect on him.

But he loved everything about it.
