The King's Daughter - Chaerji

Third person pov

Chaeryeong's father had died when they were attacked by the vampires. Before he was killed her father gave her the necklace which has been in their family for generations. It was a necklace that had a moon with stars around it. Bangchan, who was an alpha, had fought by her father’s side for years even before he was a king. He had led her to a place where she’ll be safe.

She ran till she couldn't run anymore. Soon she was randomly attacked by an Alpha from a different village. The Alpha thought it was a spy that was trying to give the vampires a way to come to their village. After fighting for a while the Alpha soon realized that it was the King's daughter.

She bowed down and asked Chaeryeong to forgive her. The Alpha’s name was Hwang Yeji and she took her to a place where they could talk. She started a fire and even gave Chaeryeong some water.

“You know my father always told me a story about a strong alpha who would do anything to protect her village. I thought it was all bedtime stories" Chaeryeong said

"You wanna hear a story about me?” Yeji asked and Chaeryeong nodded.

“It happened years ago. I was barely an Alpha when the Southern Vampires came and attacked our village. My son Nikki and I were the only survivors. We were both exhausted, hungry, and thirsty. My son was only a cub when this happened. They made my son watch my execution. They tied me up and one of them held my son’s head and made him watch as they were about to execute me. But then suddenly the vampire who was about to kill me was shot dead by silver bullets as well as the other two that were with him and I saw your father with his two other men. And I will never forget that moon.” Yeji said and pointed to the necklace Chaeryeong was wearing.

"My father?” Chaeryeong asked as she held the necklace.

"Yes, but at the time he was just a prince and I wished I could have paid the debt for your father for what he did for me” Yeji said

Flashback~

Many years ago~

Yeji ran through the woods as she held her son tightly against her as she was being chased by three of the southern vampires. She started getting really tired from running but knew she had to keep running for her cub. She then collapsed on the ground and soon the three vampires caught up to her and captured her.

One of them took her son from her as she was being captured.

“Give me my son back!" She yelled as she was being tied to a tree but they laughed at her.

“Don't worry when we're done, all he’ll have left is the dead body of his mother" One of them said and laughed.

The cub cried and whined as he was held and watched as they were about to execute his mother. Just then the person behind her held the sharp wooden stick to her head and just as he was about to throw it to her head. He was shot by silver bullets to the chest. The two other vampires looked but were then also killed.

Yeji was confused as she looked in the distance and saw a man with a hood over his head barely showing his face with a gun in his hand. Yeji was scared for a moment before she realized he had helped her. Soon Bangchan came with a large gun in his hand.

“Your majesty we must keep moving” Bangchan said

Just then another vampire came and was about to attack the prince but was suddenly shot by another soldier who then came up next to the prince.

"Cut the ropes” The prince said and the two obeyed

They cut the ropes from Yeji’s hands. The prince then gently grabbed the little cub from the dead vampire's hands and gave the cub back to Yeji. Yeji couldn't thank the man so much for what he did for her.

End of flashback~

"From that day on I promised to him and my village I will never let any vampire step foot here ever again" Yeji said

"This war is against us and he vampires. It's not too late. Teach me how to become a warrior like my father" Chaeryeong said and Yeji nodded while smiling.
