Chapter 7 First Date? [Short]

After walking off from Petra and Miles, Alex and Ellie stop by her place to bandage up Alex's hands.

Alex: I can't believe they never told me! What about me says I can't keep a secret?!

He complained to no one in particular. He needed to get his anger out, by ranting thankfully Ellie was their and she just listened to him,

Ellie: I know, you've never told anyone any of my secrets.

She agreed.

Alex: I know thank you. I never even told anyone about the time she-

He stopped himself realizing he was about to tell Ellie one of Petra's secrets.

Ellie: You gonna finish?

Alex: No... it's not important... thank you for letting me rant though, I needed that.

He told her, and she smiled at him.

Ellie: You know after a fight like that, when they rant about keeping secrets, they normally just spill whatever secret they were going to say. I respect that you didn't,

She told him as she finished wrapping up his right hand.

Ellie: That good? Not too tight, not too loose?

She asked looking him in the eyes, making sure he was alright. Alex blushed and looked away.

Alex: Yeah... thanks.

He said and Ellie chuckled and started bandaging his left hand.

Ellie: So... why didn't you message me when Petra broke in?

She asked with a soft glare and her grip tightening slightly.

Alex: Ow, El, you're holding my hand too tightly!

He exclaimed, and Ellie's grip loosened.

Ellie: Sorry sometimes I forget my own strength. I only meant to put enough to make it show I was serious about you tell me. Not enough to hurt you...

Alex puts his free hand; the one that just got finished being bandaged, and put it on her shoulder.

Alex: It's Ok El. I understand. To answer your question, I didn't tell you because I thought it was a dream.

He told her calmly and explained why he didn't tell her.

Alex: I mean can you blame me for thinking it was a dream? Although now that I think of it, Petra being Spider-Woman is pretty obvious.

He said actually finally putting 2 and 2 together. Venom even popped out of Ellie's shoulder and started talking to them.

Venom: Yeah I mean who else would be able to get those kind of shots of Spider-Woman and Spider-Man other than Spider-Woman herself. Along with the fact every time she stood you up Spider-Woman would appear and fight whatever villain was attacking the city.

Alex chuckles embarrassedly and rubs the nape of his neck.

Alex: Yeah you're right. Also, good to see you again Venom. Kinda surprised you didn't pop out sooner.

The male said greeting the alien.

Venom: Yeah, well it was a really emotional moment for you. That and if Venom just appeared to fight two kids it'd be both very suspicious, and you'd be an accomplice. I think... still not completely versed on the laws of this planet.

Alex chuckles and Ellie finished bandaging his hand.

Ellie: Ok I'm done. You still want to go to school?

Alex: Honestly no... can we just go into the city and hang out?

Venom goes back into Ellie and she nods.

Ellie: Yeah, we can do that. Just next time Petra of Spider-Woman approaches you, when I'm not around, let me know. I'll protect you.

Alex: She wouldn't hurt me. But, fine I'll tell you as soon as I can, if she ever shows up in my life again.

He says as he picks up his bag.

Ellie: Oh she will. I can tell she's gonna keep trying to get you back.

Alex: Yeah you're right.

The male agreed and the two left her house and went to a bus stop to go into Manhattan.
