So...where did I leave off? Oh, babysitting Baylee Bích Danh, while my older siblings go grocery shopping. First, it went well. She was playing peacefully with the toys mom and dad spoiled her with. Until...

"Chị, em CẦN THỨC ĂN!" Baylee shouted. (translation: "Sissy, I NEED FOOD!")

"Em đừng la!" I replied. (translation: "Don't scream!")

She kept whining because she's hungry, but I don't have any cooking skills, because in Soc Trang where I'm from, eating out is SUPER affordable. You could get a DELISH meal for only 3 USD. In America, we can't eat out because it's way too expensive. And if you are wondering why my siblings were in the grocery store when we don't even know how to cook, they're picking out cooked meals for our family. You know, when I was living in Vietnam, almost every family in the city had a business. That's why there are so many restaurants that you can afford to eat in.

Our family had a fabric/clothing shop, my mom taught me how to sew traditional Vietnamese dresses, let me just say, she taught me very well. Now, I probably have an obsession of making clothes. Not gonna lie, I miss Vietnam. I miss making clothes for people. The only reason why my parents moved here is to give us a better education.

But no one taught me how to cook. That's when I realized, I might've never been TAUGHT how to cook, but... I saw the famous Vietnamese street food (grilled rice paper) being made at least a billion times. So I got the ingredients (my older siblings bought random stuff at the supermarket a few days ago, I tried my best to match what we have to the real ingredients)

Kaylee Tran Danh's ripoff grilled rice paper ingredients:

-Rice paper

-hot sauce instead of the normal, typical sauce.

-shrimp

-tomato thing/sauce

-green onion

Okay... maybe this isn't close to the original recipe, and-um I forgot, I CAN'T HANDLE SPICE!

I cooked the rice paper in the-um microwave. (I KNOW YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO!)

It didn't turn out great, but it's edible and I didn't burn the house down. 😁 (PLEASE I BEG YOU TO NOT TRY TO MICROWAVE A PIECE OF RICE PAPER!)

I accidentally put hot sauce in one of the grilled rice paper. (On the first one I cooked)

Baylee was so hungry, as soon as I finished the first piece of rice paper, she snatched the plate out of my hand and gobbled it up. And I knew, she was going to have a LONG number 2 in the restroom.

She cried, and whined because it was too spicy. She even told our parents that it was MY fault that SHE snatched a piece of spicy grilled rice paper out of my hand and gobbled it up like a monster. Number 2 she goes. Ok, maybe it was my fault. I put the hot sauce in there because we don't have the regular sauce I see on the streets of Soc Trang.

In the aftermath, I got grounded because of my little sister threw up on the floor, went number 2 in the restroom leaving a TERRIBLE smell, and blaming it on me because I cooked it. IT WAS FOR ME! I mean, she did save me from puking, but STILL!
