*** Alastor's POV ***

Smile like you mean it!
Take a chance and you could seize it!
I'm sure you'll do just swell, you're only down in Hell
So come along with me and guarantee it!

I was humming a song, cleaning dishes in the kitchen. Lucifer was upstairs his office, dealing with whatever a king is supposed to deal with. Y/n was keeping him company. She would sit on a beanbag he put there just for her, reading or on her phone or napping. It was simple, but just having her in the room helped him get through his work, which he has been much more on top of. Something we talked about and decided to try after his last breakdown from stress. Eventually urging him to talk to Charlie to allow him a few days like today every couple of weeks.

I used these kinds of afternoons to cleanup the kitchen, run errands, or sometimes go out hunting if need be. It was nice to have a bit of time to my self, even if I did end up missing the two after a little while. What an odd feeling it was. To miss someone.

The only thing more odd was that when they came down, they act like they missed me - and I completely believe it.

I heard the opening and closing of the front door which immediately put me on high alert. I snapped my fingers, replacing my black button down and apron with my usual red suit. In the pocket of which hung my black gloves. I slid them on before putting my hands behind my back and strolling over to the entrance.

"Lucifer!" A high pitched, echoing voice came from the lounge area, she kept yelling."Lucifer sweetie what in the hells happened here?" I heard the sound of woman's heels being thrown off and hitting the wall. "And where are all the mirrors? What, can't even stand to see your own face anymore?" Then her voice went down low and I heard her say, more under breath this time. "fucking pathetic." Before she returned to her yelling, "And what are all these extra shoes doing here? Are you having the servants use the front door again? Oh, hello.....?"

She had finally noticed me standing in the doorway, watching as she looked around the room with her palms on her hips. This was a tall woman, wearing black leather pants and purple tube top. She had long blonde hair, ram horms, and sharp violet eyes. I immediately recognized this as Lillith from the portraits that used to adorn many of these walls, most of them gone now besides a few small ones with Charlie in them.

"Hello." I responded, my usual smile could cut leather, and my tone shrill with the static ringing in the air.

"Uhhh... are you what, the new butler?" She folded her arms in front of her.

"Aha! No! I live here, actually." I remained planted in my spot.

"Uh-huh, and what is all this? Where are the portraits and mirrors?"

"Just some of the renovations we had done. Adds a bit of color don't you think?" I explained.

The room has transformed over the last months, as did a lot of the entire palace. Lucifer personally went around the whole place and got rid of all the wall mirrors, except for in a few bathrooms - ones that him or Y/n would use if needed. He has also been steadily removing any of the furniture or trinkets left behind by his ex wife, resulting in the purple accents being practically gone. The rooms remained bright as most of the major furniture was still from when Lucifer was here alone, featuring a lot of white and gold trimmings. But now there were also touches of red and rustic wood from some of my own additions, as well as many random plushies and blankets that Y/n liked. Not exactly well put together interior design - admittedly a its more of a messy hodgepodge. But so are we, so I think its perfect.

"And what business do you have making renovations in my home?" Lillith took a step towards me, a bit of demonic power oozing out of her.

"Your home?" I questioned, "I do believe your divorce papers quite explicitly left this entire property to your ex husband."
