*** Alastor's POV ***

Lucifer was correct that in usual circumstances this would be considered very fast for a move in. But for a few reasons, I had very little issue with it.

Our court-off game with Y/n has been taking place for months, even if our current arrangement hasn't. Then there was the simple fact that we needed to get Y/n out of the hotel, and the palace was perfect, safe and isolated. And I really needed to get away from this place, its just too much on the senses sometimes. A place to retreat to after hours sounded nice.

I was actually considering offering my own manor, but the palace was better. There were a few overlords by now who knew the location of my home, and even though I didn't think they would have the audacity, it was still a risk. A risk I was not willing to take with Y/n involved... especially since there was a strong possibility I would be affected.

We helped Charlie with the activity room, which went more smoothly than last time. Lucifer even put a radio on one of the shelves before I did. But afterwards we had to go find Y/n which was going to be another interesting conversation. That seemed to be a general theme with this whole arrangement, lots and lots of talking. I didn't mind though, both Y/n and Lucifer were wonderful conversationalist even if the little dork forgot how to form sentences sometimes. I've found amusement in trying to get him frizzed out on purpose.

Down the elevators and to the bar we went, where sure enough, Y/n was there helping Husker bring in the new shipment of alcohol. When she saw us she waved her tail happily, making the black cat behind her roll his eyes in annoyance. She put the boxes down and bounded over, stopping a few feet in front of us once she noticed the red gloves on the hands I was resting on my cane.

"Hello!" She chirped rocking back and forth on her heels, her usual cheshire grin beaming up at the both of us. I felt my shoulders unclench at the sight, my body visibly relaxing. Never thought something so simple would make me have such a strong physical reaction and yet here it was. "You guys doing okay?"

"Yes my dear, doing quite alright. We do have something to talk to you about, you think Husker can spare you for a few minutes?"

I was trying to keep my tone as casual as I could since there were people already watching. Lucifer and I standing side by side and not yelling at each other was a new one to the hotel.

"Hmmmm..." Y/n hummed and looked back at Husker who was carrying more boxes in. "Let me finish helping him get the stuff in and then we can chat."

"Wonderful."

"Where can I find you guys?"

"How about on top of the world." Lucifer piped up in a low voice, his voice indicating emphasis on the phrase. I had no idea what he was talking about but I assumed it was some place they knew of.

"Sure!" Y/n bounced up once before waving us bye and going back to help Husker. Instead of asking a direct question I just gave Lucifer a quizzical look.

"Come on I'll show you." Lucifer waved his arm, leading me around the corner to where nobody would see before opening up a portal for us to go through. On the other side was the roof of the hotel, and on the edge a beautifully set up nook. Piles and piles of blankets and pillows under a cover and string lights. The wall next to it had a long set of nail scratches that were perfectly spaced to be Lucifer's hand.

Lucifer silently made his way over and plopped down on the edge, adjusting pillows.

"This is quite a nice view." I remarked making my way over, watching the city below.

"Isn't it?" Lucifer agreed, "Y/n liked it too."

I dissolved my cane and sat down on the other side, stretching out one leg as I leaned back against the wall, enjoying the nice breeze. We sat together waiting for Y/n.
