Hermione sat in her oversized chair at the center of the room, surrounded by investors on either side. The media had caught wind of the reckless behavior of the staff at her new hotel, and now, the news had spread like wildfire. Every negative review and video clip had mysteriously disappeared, wiped from the internet by the tech department—or so she had been told.

But there was someone out there, determined to watch the Allens fall. Hermione couldn’t shake the paranoia creeping in.

How had the information been leaked so quickly? The scandal was now the top trending topic on social media, a public relations nightmare.

After all this chaos, I want out. No deal. No contract,” an older man, probably in his fifties, barked, his voice full of contempt. His anger ignited a chorus of agreement from the other investors, like bad singers in a tone-deaf choir.

Hermione’s face remained expressionless as she listened. Inside, she wanted to scream at them for their childish behavior—this wasn’t a playground, it was a meeting. But she held her composure, letting them stew in their tantrums.

Just as she was about to speak, her phone lit up and vibrated on the table. She glanced at the screen: Papa.

Stepping away from the chaos, she picked up the call and walked to a quiet corner of the room.

Ciao, tesoro. Sei impegnata?”
(Hello, sweetie. Are you busy?)
Papa Warner’s voice was soft.

Ehi, papà. No, non lo sono,”
(Hey, Papa. No, I’m not.)
Hermione replied quietly, her voice calm. Papa Warner hummed thoughtfully on the other end.

Volevo solo informarti che i Wyatt sono qui e”
(I just wanted to let you know that the Wyatts are here and—)

Hermione cut him off. “So, they’re behind all this? Because I refused their partnership offer?” Her voice dripped with bitter anger.

"They also have asked for your hand for marriage with Nedvar, the one who had come to the hotel party, and also he is a single father." Warner stated this, Hermione frown in confusion.

"Marriage, will not happen, and he can better marry some other nanny for his child," Hermione said in anger.

I’ll handle it my way this time, Papa. I’ll make myself clear—in their own language,” she stated coldly. To her surprise, her father agreed without protest. Normally, he would have advised her to stay calm, but this time, his silence spoke volumes.
