Halls full of wizards and witches who don't know reality from the fiction in their own minds. Frolicking, and flirting as if they didn't have a care in the world.

"Oh Bother." Snape sighed as he walked down the halls to his Potions class. His utmost favorite class except for the fact that today, he would have to endure seeing James with Lily. Oh yes, Lily with her fare face, and the most extravagant smile on those perfect lips. I yearn to see those beautiful hazelnut eyes.

"I must endure." Snape quietly whispered to himself as he closed his eyes. He then looked around at the other students under his soft blanket of ebony wispy hair, and hugged his books closer to his chest. He was invisible and that's how he liked it. The less he would be picked on.

He looked up slightly, and entered through the golden archway and walked all the way to his seat. He set his books down at his desk, and looked at the potions in front of him. All he had to do today was just focus on his work, and this Lily obsession nonsense might fade from his mind for a few moments at least. He got out his quill and parchment from his bag on the floor, and as he looked up, his eyes met hers across the room to the Gryffindor side. She gave me a wide smile with her eyes half closed and did a little wave in my direction. I cocked my head down abruptly so my hair could fall back on top of my face shielding my cherry blush.

I set the quill and parchment on the table, and reached my arm to get my ink carefully so as to not see Lily again, and set that on the table as well.

"Hey Snivellus! Sorry you dropped your ink!" Potter said from behind me. I was confused as to what he had said and realized too late of what he was about to do. I reached out my hand to grab the ink bottle, but Potter had already knocked it on its side spilling the ink. Potter and his gang laughed hysterically and walked to the Gryffindor side. I slowly followed him there with my eye while reaching down to get my wand, and I saw him sitting down next to Lily. He smiled at her and she blushed slightly and smiled back. How could those two actually be dating? It disgusts me. I quickly said a spell to place the spilled ink back in its bottle and looked up just to see the teacher pass on by to the center of the room for class to begin.

With my hair still shielding my face, I gave a quickly glance over at Lily's direction and saw that they were holding hands under their table. I was overwhelmed with anger and fury along with jealousy and desperation. How could a goddess like an imp like him? This was inconceivable and preposterous! I clutched my heart desperately for some form of pain containment, but found no mercy. I yearned for the one day that I would hold her hand, to touch that soft skin, and lay my head on top of hers, consuming its sweet fragrance. My hands slowly turned into fists and started shaking. One day...one day, that's all it would take. I would take advantage of our "friendship" an steal her away from that selfish troll. I released my hand from its tight grip and focused on the tasks ahead without focusing on Lily and Potter for the rest of the class.
