After a year of torment and anguish,

I can finally look myself in the mirror and love who I see.

After all that effort to break me, You failed.

Pain doesn't end things for me, but makes me better than before.

Because that is my nature, to adapt and become stronger to survive.

And clearly, all that pain you gave me paid off.

Every hurtful word, and all the times you assaulted me.

They are all written in the past, a part of my story.

And a part of your actions you can never undo.

I thought I would never recover from your cold heart and empty love.

Escape from your deadly grasp on my neck, your control.

But the truth is, I've never been more free. From you, and from everyone.

You showed me how terrible people can be, and all the red flags I could ever need.

So thank you for showing me your true colors.

I hope your next victim shows you hell and back.

And that you burn the entire time.
