"Anupamaa dear.", Uddhav said turning towards her, "Why don't you have your breakfast with us? Then you and Arnav can have your work related conversation."
Rohini jogged down too.
And gasped.
She knew what a 'desperate for son's marriage' Uddhav was up to.
"How can I..", Anupamaa mumbled awkwardly.
"Why can you not?", Uddhav said immediately, "Don't worry. We are extremely welcoming to guests."
Anupamaa looked at Arnav who stood awkwardly.
Arnav was a rule breaker outside the house, but in the house he was a good boy.
He gulped nervously as he drew in a deep breath.
Anupamaa looked at Uddhav with an awkward smile.
"Don't worry. My son never questions my decisions.", He said.
She nodded, awkwardly adjusting her side bag.
Uddhav lead her to the dining table in the huge hallroom.
It was a twelve seater, white marble and wood.
Almost royal.
Anupamaa took a seat.
Arnav did not look too happy, as he walked down to the table and sat on the seat right beside her.
She turned and looked at him, taken aback.
He is sitting beside me? So much niceness?
"This is my seat and I am not leaving it because you decided to choose the one beside mine.", He said adjusting his suit.
Anupamaa drew in a deep breath and nodded.
Arnav picked up a glass of water and took it to his lips.
"Ah, finally seeing my boy with a woman worthy of him.", Uddhav said sitting at the head of the table.
Arnav instantly chocked on water, and started coughing.
Anupamaa's face turned red.
"Baba, please. Don't ship my softie brother with any random woman you see.", This was Arnav's younger sister, Malvika.
Step sister by blood, soul sister by choice.
"Softie?", Rohini asked sitting opposite to Arnav, beside Malvika with a grin.
Anupamaa smiled, looking at the rather happy family.
She picked up the glass of water, for a sip.
"Obviously. With all those insane years of no women, he probably doesn't get hard anymore-"
Anupamaa chocked on water quite instantaneously.
Arnav buried his face in his hands, on the edge of tears.
Rohini burst out laughing.
And Uddhav pretended to not understand the joke.
Anupamaa caught up her breath after coughing.
"I don't know what's wrong with my family.", Arnav whispered, on the edge of tears of embarassment, loud enough for only Anupamaa to hear.
"Mukku's sense of humour is peaking.", Rohini declared grinning away.
"Sorry Arnav Bhai, but facts are facts. Isha got married like three years ago, has a kid now and you are playing Salman Khan here.", Malvika said casually sitting back.
