Chapter 10

Jungkook went to the common dining area after taking a bath. He expected to see Jimin there, but he wasn't anywhere around. He sighed in disappointment. His appetite for food also disappeared.

"Where is Jimin?" Jungkook turned his head at the voice. Jin was holding on to Namjoon's hand. Mating bites were visible on their necks. Jin's voice was strict.

"He went back to his room in the morning. I thought he would be here." Jungkook answered.

"Come with me; I want to talk to you." That was Namjoon. "I'll be back in a minute." He told Jin, lightly kissing his lips. Jin nodded.

Namjoon and Jungkook walked away from the crowd.

"What the hell are you doing?" Namjoon asked.

"What do you mean?" Jungkook asked.

"Why did you mate him if you don't like him?" Namjoon yelled.

"I mated him because I like him." Jungkook yelled back. "Believe it or not, I did fall for him," he said after a while. "He just refuses to believe it."

"Oh! Am I surprised given how nicely you have been treating him?" Namjoon scoffed. "You couldn't even have the brains to understand that it wasn't his fault that Jin didn't pick you. You took it all out on him, didn't you?. Now he is refusing to believe you, right?"

"Mind your own fucking business."

"Do you still desire Jin?" Namjoon questioned.

"No, I don't." Jungkook answered, annoyed.

"You only wanted him because I liked him, didn't you?"

"You can say that," Jungkook answered, looking away.

"Well, I knew it all alone. You have been like this ever since we were kids. What is it that you envy so much about me? I didn't ask to be the firstborn, you know?"

"I don't want anything from you. Not anymore. That chapter is over for good." Jungkook said.

"Really? Is it because of Jimin?" Namjoon questioned.

"What do you care?"

"Because my mate does, and they are very close with each other, unlike us. Jin is really worried for Jimin. He told me Jimin was really depressed before the ceremony, starting from the day you accepted him suddenly."

"We are trying to figure things out."

"Why didn't you bathe him after the mating night?"

"Because he refused," Jungkook answered. Namjoon sighed. The situation was worse than he thought.
