17. She has the power

Anaisha's pov

pandit ji said "now you both are husband and wife"

a single line that holds a lot of meanings........ I'm married.. it might be for one year but now I'm someone's wife... someone's bhabs and someone's daughter in law

this comes with alot of responsebility and I'm not sure if I'll be able to handle it or not but I sure that I'm not gonna regret this one year....... my gut feeling never lies

then we walked towards our family to take their blessings.......... as we reached near the stairs he held out his hand for me to hold..

taking a deep breath I held it while he helped me climb down the stairs....

we took everyone's blessings and then I stopped infront of my mumma and papa.... then he left my hand taking few steps back while I looked at papa seeing tears roll down his face.. I felt my vision get cloudy due to the tears that were forming.... then I hugged papa fisting his sherwani in my hands while sobbing hard...

then he pulled away from the hug and wiped my tears then looked at Abhiraaj while saying "I'm giving you my princess.... take care of her" hearing this I sobbed even harder... then I felt a presence behind me causing me to look back where I found Vihaan and Vidyut bhaiya

they wrapped their arm around my shoulder and Vidyut bhaiya said while looking at papa "hum aapki rajkumari nhi humari rani le kar ja rhe hai" then Vihaan added "behan hai humari aur jaan bhi" hearing his papa had a proud smile on his face
(We're not taking your princess We're taking our queen) (she's our sister and life too)

then Vihaan said while looking at me "bhabs ghar chale?" in reply I just nod and made our way towards the exit where I found Abhiraaj standing near the car...

Author's pov

Anaisha was about to step outside but stopped midway and turned around then ran towards Arjun before wrapping her arms around him...

he hugged her back while a tear rolled down his face followed by few more and said "don't go Anu.... please don't" hearing this she chuckled and said "I have to go" while he hugged her more tightly and said "no you don't have to..... please stay...... please"

then she pulled away from the hug and kissed his forehead and started walking towards the car as she reached near the car ......Abhiraaj open the door for her while she sat inside the car

followed by Abhiraaj..

Abhiraaj's pov

as the car started I heard her sniffing so I took out my handkerchief offered it to her but she looked at it then turned away saying "I don't need it I have my own"

then she took out a handkerchief from her lehanga while I looked at her with amusement and said "you have pockets in your lehanga?" hearing this she said "of course I do!"

While I just looked at her in reply then she said "how long is it gonna take us to reach there?"

"Probably an hour" I said to which she replied with a nod

The ride was silent and peaceful but then I saw her shivering so I looked at her saying "are you feeling cold?"

"No" she denied while looking out of the window causing me to sign and then I took my shawl and said "here wear it"

To which she replied without looking at me "I don't want it" seeing this I rolled my eyes and turned her around before wrapping the shawl around her and said "there is no fucking way I'm gonna listen to you and let you catch cold because I don't have the time and patience to take care of you when you're sick"

Saying this I waited for her reply but surprisingly I got none...

Anaisha's pov

I was quite bowled over due to his sudden action, I tried to say something but nothing came out of my mouth so I just looked out of the window........

the whole ride went like this....while I felt him looking at me from time to time.... then he cleared his throat causing me to look at him after that he said "we have reached"

hearing him I tried to open the door but he stopped me saying "wait" ......... saying this he left the car while I looked at him with confusion then he opened my door and held his hand out for me to hold

seeing this I raised my eyebrows and held his hand while stepping out of the car and said "aren't you being a gentleman today" to which he replied as we started walking towards the entrance he said "I have always been a gentleman Mrs. Nanda"

saying this he intertwined our hands causing me to look at our hands then at him...... looking at him I said "you can leave my hand now" hearing me he looked at me with a smile and said "I know I can but I won't because I don't think that you'll be able to handle yourself with that heavy lehenga along with heels"

hearing this I replied with a grin "actually you're right!" as I said that as we stopped infront of the entrance where I found maa standing with a smile on her face

she then did our arti before placing the jar filled with rice infront of me then she asked me to push the jar with my right toe which I did........ after that they placed a copper plate infront of me which was filled with alta I dipped my feet in it then stepped inside the house leaving my foot marks all over the white marble

he was holding my hand all this time guiding me towards the living room which was filled with his relatives.... as we reached there we were asked to seat in our places which we did.... me and Abhiraaj were sitting opposite to each other

then maa placed a bowl infront of us which was filled with milk and rose patel then Vihaan and bhaiya came and sat beside me along with dad while maa was sitting between me and Abhiraaj..

after that dad started to speak he said "beta you have to win!" then Vihaan said "yes bhabs make us proud!" then Vidyut bhaiya added "I bet she's gonna win!" hearing all this I chuckled and said "I'll try my best"

then I looked at Abhiraaj who was already looking at me with a smirk he said "make sure you win Mrs. Nanda" hearing this I smirked back and said "I surely will Mr. Nanda"

he was about to say something but maa interrupted him saying "ok now let's start the game" saying this she dropped the ring and subconsciously both of our hands when inside the bowl

soon the whole room filled with cheers while I was trying to find the ring but it was nowhere to be found then suddenly I felt the ring slide under my hand so I quickly grabbed it and pulled it out before showing it to everyone with a grin of my face

then everyone started clapping while maa said with a huge smile on her face "Anu won the game! which means she's gonna lead the marriage"

hearing this Vihaan said "so Mr. Nanda how does it feel to lose the game and power?" while using his hand as a mic but before Abhiraaj can answer bhaiya did... he said "he must be feeling like a loser.... after all he lost the lead but it's nothing new right Abhi?" saying this he started laughing

while I looked at Abhiraaj waiting for his reply... he then looked at me and said "There is no need for this game of knowing who will lead this marriage... because if in Parvati Shiv, Sita Ram and Lakshmi Narayan's marraige the wife is leading the marriage then Anaisha has the power to lead ours.." saying this he smiled leaving everyone amused with his answer including me....
