Part 7

Leo's Pov, 

"So how do I defeat a dementor?" I ask the three founders of Hogwarts, I just got out of the hospital wing! MY BROOM IS RUINEND! AND IT CAN'T BE FIXED! AND WE LOST FROM HUFFLEPUFF SINCE HARRY ALSO GOT KNOCKED OFF OF HIS BROOM BY THOSE STUPID DEMENTHORS! 

"The Patronus Charm." Rowena says and I've read about the charm. "It's difficult and ancient magic.... only if your whole body is filled with happiness... a strong and powerful memory can produce one, many witches and wizards fail with it." Helga adds and I puff my cheeks out. Great. 

"And even less are able to get a corporeal Patronus, the animal guirdian is a a reflection of it's caster." Godric says and I let myself fall back on the couch. "So it's never going to happen." 

"Hogwarts will always offer help to those who need it, your Defense against the Dark Arts teacher can help you more practical than we can." He says and I raise my brow at the man. "You mean the Godfather who was ready to leave me outside of a orphanage in a basket." I state with a scoff. 

"Forgiveness is the greatest thing we can give one, you gave it to the Basilisk a creature who took you and petrified your friends..... a creature that has killed before but you found out it was misunderstood. You do not know why Remus Lupin did what he did what if he's not worthy of your forgiveness?" Helga says and I release a sigh at her words. "Because I don't know alright I don't want to beg him for help." 

"You would not be begging him you would be asking him, maybe you should give him a chance like you've given others. He may surprise you in the end you'll never know if you hold a grudge." Rowena says before they move away and I run my hand through my curls as Bandit climbs on my lap.

"I know right what do they know anyway." I mumble under my breath as I pet the Niffler who get's comfortable on my lap as I look at the ceiling that is very interesting at this moment. 

Some Day's Later, 

Releasing a sigh I knock on the door as I keep my head up high before it opens by magic and I see the sickly looking figure of Remus Lupin sit in his office chair before his eyes widen as he's quick to stand up as he sees me there. "Le... Leonidas come in please." He says as I step in and close the door behind me, I've been trouble with the spell because I don't really have anything to practice it on! So here I am going.... going to ask him for help. 

"I want to ask you for your help." I plainly say as we both take a seat. "Help? I think you could be better at teaching them, your smart................ sometimes it reminds me of your mother she was one of the brightest witches of her age." He says and I don't know what to do but hesitantly nodding my head. 

"The Founders said you could help me with a more practical way of learning the Patronus charm, I've been having trouble with it so far." I state and the teacher lets a small smile grow on my face. "I'm no expe-" 

"And yet Harry keeps speaking of how you chased the one in the train off, you've offered him lessons for after the holiday. I wish to have the same ones." I state as I quickly cut him off, Harry told me about the lessons he's going to be taken from Lupin and well if he can teach Harry than he can also teach me and I don't have to spend my time alone with the man. 

"I can teach you after my lesson's with Harry, I-i uhm also wait hold on a second." He says before getting of and walking or more like stumbling off, every month this man is sick why teach if you miss almost a week a month! Also after Harry?! Why not at the same time! 

"I know you said you didn't want to have anymore presents or letters, but I wish to give you this........... things weren't as they seemed Leonidas." He says as he takes what looks like a picture frame out of a cabinet before moving back over to me. 

"For all the thing that where done...... things that even now don't make sense they did truly love you, I truly love you." He says as he hands me the frame and I look down upon it only to let a frown appear on my face as I see a younger version of Lupin, with what looks like a younger more saine looking version of Sirius Black as he leans his head down to a woman with dark hair and eyes who's holding a child as the child makes grabby hands towards Sirius as they both have big smiles on their faces. 

"I-is this going to make me forgive you for leaving me? For forgiving the man who would rather murder a street of mugles than raise his son?" I say as I look back up at Lupin with tears in my eyes. "Leonidas I wished to take you with me...... but I could not have given you the life you needed, the life you deserved. Having to chose what you needed versus what I wished was one of the hardest things I could have done, I promised your parents many years ago I would keep you save if I would have taken you with me you would not have been save." He says as he looks at me with a frown and...... and honesty in his voice?

"W-why couldn't you take me?" 

"Because......Be-because I'm a Werewolf." He says just above a whisper making my eyes widen as they snap upon the man, of course he's a bloody werewolf! Severus's lesson! The not teaching after a full moon and the man looking like pure shit. The scars on his face! It's said that werewolves who lock themselves away when they turn they hurt their selves out of frustration!  

"Before Professor Dumbledore came to me I had a hard time finding or even keeping a job, werewolves are looked down upon in our world. Or what if I would have broken out......... I would not have stopped Leonidas not even for you in that state so it was the safest thing for you to be somewhere and with someone who could give you everything you needed." He says and I lick my lips as I look back down at the picture. 

"W-why do you think he did it?" I ask the man who releases a sigh. "I don't know.......... but I do know that he truly loved you and your mother I don't know why he did what he did........ why he let madness take over him but if you ever need me I'm here, and I will help you with the Patronus Charm." He says and I nod my head as I get up again and hold the picture frame out for him. 

"Keep it, it's yours now." He says with a small smile. "T-thank you and uhm I won't tell anyone about the you know." 

..............................................

"Come on Hermione you need to live a little." I say as I've somehow convinced the girl to walk with me through the Forbidden Forest. "Live a little?! You've been almost dead probably already 20 times the last three years! And we are not supposed to be here." She whisper yells and I shrug my shoulders. Whistling loudly soon the cry of Athena is heard, she is this mugle goddess I've read a bit about her and since the Black Hippogriff didn't have a name yet I took it upon myself to do it. Like Hagrid is amazing but his lessons after the incident uhm got boring...... like really and I mean really boring! 

"And yet here you are." 

"Because someone has to make sure you come back in one piece! Your a bad influence." She says with a pointed look as Athena pushes my shoulder with her beack to get some attention from me and I start to pet her. "Hey I've been letting you read all these books, so in return you can come with me and explore the forbidden forest." 

"I would also like to return in one piece." She states as I climb on top of Athena and let her step over to Hermione who's eyes widen as she backs up. "No... Nope I swear it Leo-!" She starts before it turns into a yelp as I pull her up in front of me and give the girl my best smile, nudging Athena forward the Hippogriff soon starts to run as Hermione yells bloody murder and it only makes laughter leave my lips. 

"I don't like heeeeiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigghts!" The girl yells as we are now flying up into the air while I have her safely in front of me as my hands move past her body and hold Athena's pitch black feathers. 

"Come on Hermione this is amazing!" I say as we fly over the Hogwarts Grounds while I think the girl has her eyes closed making me lean my head down next to her ear. "Open your eyes, and you'll see the beauty in front of you Hermione."
