Chapter 5: Survive

Akito's p.o.v

I come here only  to slay the demon, but I'm quiet have a much trouble here

"Hey you! You are Marechi!!! I will eat you today! Become my food" that random demon suddenly show up and said that to me

I only give that creature a dull face, I take one breath and mumbles lowly, only my ears can hear it

"Dark breathing, first form: Night of darkness"

Then I slash that demon into a dices as it quickly become ashes. I look at the demon again, is it a really a demon who been caught by the hashiras? Why it look weak? Look like my train was a waste

Suddenly I heard a shaking at near bushs and see 3 demons come out from it

"Wait! Did I smell Marechi? Surely it was a best day, ever!"

"Back off! This Merachi is mine!!"

"Shut the hell up!!"

I'm only give them a deadpanned, really they arguing because of me? What a bunch of kids

"Soul breathing, second form: Silence slash"

In the second, the three heads falling in the ground and none of those creatures realized it

"W—what happened?!"

"Are we already beheaded?!"

"Oi, brat! You are worst, I hope I can eat you alive"

I look at them, they are still whined like a crying kids. I glared to them and send a shiver to them, "Don't forget, a creature like you deserve this kind of punish after all, what did you do when all of you still a demon" I said to them as I start walking and left their body turn into ashes

I heard a scream as I quick dash toward that and found another candidate sit on the ground shaking when a random demon slowly approach him

"Hehe, finally a food"

"H—help..."

Before the demon can attack him I come from behind and in my way to stab that demon

"Steel breathing, second form: Heavy stab"

Then I landed my sword on that demon back, as it laying on the ground unable to move

"What is this?!" It that look at me, "Wait this smell... You are Marechi!!"

I am only look at it as I grab it's hair and behead in before throw the head to nearby tree

"You brat!!!" it shouts to me as I ignore it and come closer to that guy. "Are you alright?" I asked that guy as he still trembling and get up from the ground

"Y—yes, thank you" then he gone from my sight after that, huh weird

But I have to keep going, this test won't end if I'm not complete it. I keep dashing toward at some random way I think it's right, during a whole night, I keep meet a demons who wants to eat me also I saved some of candidates

Now I'm felt weird, how that demon I was a Marechi? I'm not bleeding right now, but how they are know it? Maybe I can tell this to Otou-san after I manage to pass from here

During in my thought, I spotted a demon who about attack a young lady but with quickly I come to save her

"Soul breathing, first form: Spirit cutter"

I cut that demon's head and both of it's arms and legs, left it speechless and gone into ashes. I look at the lady who look at me, she seems crying

"Are you alright?" I asked her. She nodded and get up as she wiping her tear, "Thanks for save me, I'm Kanzaki Aoi"
