"Lan Zhan?" I ask.

"Hm?" He asks.

"Do you believe in monsters?" I ask.

"What?" He asks.

"Never mind. *Scoff* Stupid question." I say.

"Wei Ying-" Lan Zhan starts.

"You know what I'm actually tired." I say.

"You should rest." Lan Zhan says.

"There's an inn nearby." I say.

"Wei Ying, what's wrong?" Lan Zhan asks.

"Nothing." I say. 

"Wei Ying." He says.

I stop. I let out a breath.

"Alright, alright, alright." I hiss.

I can feel his eyes on me. 

"Just... what if this is just a dead end?" I ask.

"A dead end?" Lan Zhan asks.

"I'm tired of being blind, but now I'm wondering if I should just stop this foolishness." I say.

"I don't think it's foolishness." He says.

"Maybe." I sigh.

"Wei Ying... I had run into her." He says.

I look at him in surprise.

"And you're only telling me this now?" I ask.

I hear him let out a breath.

"Thanks for te extra motivation." I turn.
