I hear her charge. I jump out of the way. I hear her sword rake against the wall. I rip mine out. I slam it into her sword. I hear her breath. It's raspy and there's this weird clicking sound. She throws me back. I slam through the wall into the road. I wince. I hear her jump down. I jump back. Just because my spiritual power is really low doesn't mean I can't fight.
I hear her spit out something. It slams into my hand. Nailing me to a wall. Webs? I pull on my hand. It's webs. I hear her walk forward. I really hope I can do this. I start cutting my hand lose but the webs are thick.
"This is where you die, Wei Wuxian." I hear her laugh.
Then I hear a sword. Lan Zhan. I hear her jump back. I hear him get in front of me.
"Wei Ying, are you alright?" He asks.
"Never better." I say.
"You've come to protect this pest?" She raises an eyebrow.
I hear him charge at her. He didn't answer but I guess he doesn't need to. She just spat out webs. What is she? What kind of monster looks like an innocent girl? And innocent is a really strong word.
