Y/n and Asia sat at the cafeteria table, it wasn't Hamato's, but there were no problems. It didn't seem right to take a girl who just escaped from that bunch of crazy people (if you can call that people) to a more dangerous side of the city just to grab a snack.
He wasn't crazy... Was he? Hamato's words glued to his head now. Anyways
Y/n stood there, eyeing Asia's small frame, her nun outfit ragged in some parts, a testament to something horrible that happened while he was unconscious. The horrors she had to face alone in that place, especially with that crazy bastard of a priest, it brought a bitter taste in his tongue.
What kind of things did they force her to do? He couldn't even begin to imagine.
His mind reeled back to earlier events. Their reunion, the relief, a feeling so strong it threatened to steal his breath, of knowing that the girl was okay. The hug, a physical culmination of the intensity of the moment, warm and consoling. And the part that disappointed him the most.
Rias' unwillingness to help the girl. It infuriated him at the start, a silent rage, but Rias was quick to explain. To sum everything up, the factions don't mess in each other's affairs. Devils stay away from churches, fallen stay out of devil's territories and everything stays as it should. Apparently all because of a post-war situation, everything is very delicate. Any misstep and another war between the factions could break out.
Y/n understood, he really did, all that politics involved. But he couldn't help but be mad about it all.
Slamming his pawn evil piece on Rias' table. "If you're not going to help me, then I guess I'll have to figure something out..." he proclaimed, turning his back to her and began walking back to Asia, who was standing near the door, apprehensive because of the looks she was getting. he faced her again, looking deep in her blue eyes. Her expression mirrored Koneko's in stoicism, but held a flicker of sadness. "...On my own. Asia, come."
The mousy nun complied, following close behind, but not before bowing respectfully to the people in the clubroom. "Pleasure to meet you, excuse me." She said.

All that led to this situation now, sitting at a city's diner, trying to cheer the girl up. Their orders arrived, two juicy and delicious burgers rested on a napkin bed, with soft drink and fries to accompany. Asia stared at the food, as if waiting for something.
Y/n, sensing her confusion, asked. "What's wrong? Never ate a burger before?" He joked, but as the girl shook her head, her gaze meeting his, his playfulness turned into intrigue. "Oh... is that so? Here, you eat it like this" Y/n demonstrated by getting the burger in his hands and taking a big bite out of it. Humming in delight at the taste.
The nun watched in awe, never would she guessed that's how you eat a burger. It was so... What's the word? Unusual? She mirrored his action, except it wasn't a big bite, but a small, tentative one. Her eyes widened in delight at the taste. A soft "delicious" escaped her mouth, and she dug back on the snack with newfound confidence.
Y/n took another bite of his own, noticing the looks they, Asia to be more precise, were getting from other patrons. It was the same thing when Asia went to order. The clerk was looking at her funny, was it because of the nun's clothes?
Even if so, it didn't matter, she didn't seem to mind. When asked, Asia said she was just taking a break from church chores, but the truth was undeniable. She ran away from that place, wandering alone in the unfamiliar streets.
Y/n couldn't be more happy with the way things were happening, he not just received a third chance at life, but also a second at protecting Asia.
As they finish their food, with Asia burping and quickly covering her mouth in shame, Y/n paid for it and asked where she wanted to go next.
