The light of the torches above illuminated faintly the chamber Y/n just fell in, casting flickering shadows around the place. On the middle of it, glinting off the yellowed glow of the torches, he could see it... A sword, the enchanted sword, emitting a soft hum, as if it was calling him.

'the enchanted sword' he thought, admiring its undeniable beauty. He stepped forward cautiously. He didn't want any surprises now. He invoked a torch and put it on the ground, extending one hand to grab the sword's grip.

Pulling it up, the sword came out easily, leaving the boy confused. He felt relieved and confused in equal measure, a funny combination.

It kind of expected a challenge, since it was stuck in a rock and all that, but he didn't even have to break a sweat... It was, somewhat, disappointing to say the least.

Y/n held the sword up with both hands, examining its unique patterns. It was long, but not that wide. A big, red gem stood out on the guard, emitting a deep red glow that contrasted with the blue and white linings that waved around the blade.

Being there, holding that magnificent sword was one of the most incredible feelings he ever felt so far in the world of Terraria... A feeling of empowerment, of being able to take everything anyone threw at him.

Memories started coming back. All the times he ever found a hidden shrine, his first time wielding the sword... All of it. A wave of excitement swept over him as he gripped the handle tightly, swinging it around to feel its weight. The red gem on the rain guard glowed brighter, and a blue light hovered across the blade before being shot out at an incredible speed through its edge, traveling through the air and finally hitting the wall.

Y/n felt his heart flutter as he watched the twinkling sparkles dying down, his eyes wide with with wonder after witnessing the display of the sword's magic power, and he couldn't contain the laugh that escaped his lips.

"That..." He breathed, his voice barely above a whisper. "That was the coolest thing I've ever did..."
The gem's glow returned with a faint *plim*
'just like in the game'

He brandished the sword again, aiming for the same point on the wall he hit before, and he kept repeating it until his arms grew sore.

The sparkles the beam trails left behind had lit the shrine up and in a constant light, the sound of his laughter echoing through the small space.

Feeling satisfied with the brief, impromptu practice, he felt like it was time to go back. Lori was probably concerned by now. He grabbed the head of the hook attached to the belt on his waist and threw it up to the hole in the ceiling he fell in, pulling himself up, thus starting his arduous crawl back up.

Claws digged in the wood at a steady pace, the constant thud echoing around the hollow root of this colossal tree. His only source of light was the glow stick on his mouth as Y/n pulled himself higher and higher to the top. Sweat beaded from his face down his nose as he stopped briefly to catch his breath. This was taking longer than he anticipated, and he didn't even know for how long he was climbing... He inwardly wished that the healing potion could restore energy too.

The minutes crawled slowly by, but soon enough, he was finally able to see the hole to Lori's room. A surge of energy courses through him, and he climbs faster, anxious to set his feet in solid ground again.

After finally emerging from the hole, he pops his head out of it, exclaiming "Lori!" making the fox girl let out a surprised yelp at his sudden return. The bestiary jumped out of her hand and fell flat on the ground. She whirls around to face him with an annoyed look on her face.
