The next morning, Jin Mu and Jae-min found themselves standing outside the city gates, watching as the sun slowly rose over the horizon. They had agreed to travel outside of Songrim to investigate rumors of a hidden temple where the rival mages were said to be gathering.

Jae-min looked over at Jin Mu, her expression unreadable. "Are you sure this is a good idea?" she asked. "We don't know what kind of traps or enemies we might encounter out there."

Jin Mu shrugged, his face impassive. "We won't know until we try.
Jae-min sighed, but nodded in agreement. "Fine. But we need to be careful. We can't afford any mistakes."

Together, they set off into the wilderness, following a narrow path that led through dense forests and over rocky hillsides. As they walked, they couldn't shake the feeling that they were being watched, that eyes were on them from the shadows.

"Do you hear that?" Jae-min whispered suddenly, her hand reaching for her amulet.

Jin Mu froze, listening intently. At first, he heard nothing but the rustle of leaves and the distant chirping of birds. But then, ever so faintly, he caught the sound of voices. Dark, malicious voices, whispering words of power and destruction.
Jae-min's face paled, and she exchanged a worried glance with Jin Mu. "The ancient evil," she breathed. "It's here."

Without another word, they hurried forward, their footsteps echoing through the forest as they raced towards the source of the voices. They knew that time was running out, and that if they didn't act quickly, Songrim and everyone in it would be in grave danger.

As they neared the top of a steep hill, the voices grew louder, and the trees began to thin out. Suddenly, they emerged into a clearing, and before them stood a towering temple, its walls covered in strange markings and symbols.

Jae-min's heart sank as she realized that they had arrived too late. The rival mages were already gathered around the temple, their hooded figures moving in unison as they chanted words of dark power.

"We have to stop them," she said, her voice trembling with fear and determination. "No matter what it takes."

Jin Mu nodded, his expression grim. "I'll distract them," he said. "You find a way to disrupt their ritual."

Without waiting for a response, he rushed forward, his sword gleaming in the morning light. The rival mages turned to face him, their voices rising in a chorus of anger and surprise.

Jae-min watched as Jin Mu engaged the mages in battle, his movements swift and deadly. She knew that she had to act quickly, before it was too late.

Summoning all of her courage, she ran towards the temple, her mind racing as she tried to think of a way to stop the ritual. But as she approached the temple entrance, she heard a familiar voice calling out to her.

"Jae-min!" It was one of the Five Seasons, their face pale with fear and exhaustion. "You can't go in there. It's too dangerous."

Jae-min hesitated for a moment, torn between her desire to protect her friends and her duty to Songrim. But in the end, she knew that there was no other choice.

"I have to try," she said, her voice firm. "Songrim needs me."
With that, she turned and stepped into the temple, disappearing into the darkness beyond.

Inside, the air was thick with smoke and incense, and the chanting of the rival mages echoed off the walls. Jae-min could feel the power of the ancient evil growing stronger with every passing moment, and she knew that she was running out of time.

She searched the temple frantically, her eyes darting from one shadowy corner to another. And then, suddenly, she saw it. A small, glowing stone, perched on a pedestal in the center of the room.

Without hesitation, she ran towards the stone, her hands outstretched. But as she reached for it, a burst of dark energy exploded from the stone, knocking her backwards.

She hit the ground hard, her vision blurring as she struggled to regain her footing. And then, from the shadows, a figure emerged.
It was the leader of the rival mages, their hood thrown back to reveal a cruel, twisted smile. "Foolish girl," they sneered. "Did you really think you could stop us?"

Jae-min glared up at them, her eyes burning with defiance. "I won't let you harm Songrim," she spat, struggling to stand.

The mage laughed. "You're too late," they said, their voice dripping with malice. "The ritual is almost complete, and soon, our master will rise."

With that, they raised their hands, and a wave of dark energy surged towards Jae-min, knocking her unconscious.
Outside, Jin Mu heard the explosion and felt the earth shudder beneath his feet. He knew that something was wrong, and he fought with renewed fury, determined to reach Jae-min before it was too late.

Finally, he broke through the ranks of the rival mages, his sword stained with blood and sweat. He ran towards the temple entrance, his heart pounding in his chest.

But as he reached the doorway, he saw that it was too late. The temple was empty, save for the unconscious form of Jae-min lying on the floor.

Jin Mu rushed to her side, cradling her in his arms as he searched for any sign of life. And then, in the distance, he heard a terrible sound. The sound of a monster awakening, its roar echoing through the mountains and valleys.

Jin Mu looked up, his face filled with fear and determination. He knew that the ancient evil had been unleashed, and that Songrim was in danger. But he also knew that he couldn't leave Jae-min behind.

Gently, he picked her up and carried her out of the temple, his mind racing as he tried to think of a plan.

He knew that they were outnumbered and outmatched, but he was determined to fight to the end. For Songrim, for Jae-min, and for the sake of all that was good in the world.
