Ch 6: Soundwave's Mask

Soundwave was excited, that was for certain. Firefrost left him a note that stated that she was done with the mask that she was developing for him. He was going to meet him later, around the evening, mostly since Firefrost had something she needed to do. Since she had gotten a small internship at the store that she originally got materials from, though it was unpaid, and it didn't really help outside giving her building experience. Soundwave nor Firefrost knew how that happened, but neither really questioned more than they already have. Soundwave was curious on how the two were doing, since it has been a few months since they last saw each other, but they always knew how to contact each other. Soundwave does admit that he was just as busy as she was, as he started in the gladiatorial rings.

"Soundwave!" an excited voice rang out, cutting Soundwave from his thoughts as he turned toward the voice. Firefrost was running towards Soundwave with Orion in her arms before skidding to a stop in front of him, giving him a bright smile. "How are you doing? Anything new recently?"

"I'm well, and there was something new that I will show you later, Firefrost. How are you doing?" Soundwave told her, who pouted when she couldn't see what Soundwave wanted to show her before brightening up once again. Soundwave took Orion and smiled at the newspark.

"I'm good. I was on break and saw you, so I came over to say hi. Also, I wanted to ask when you plan to meet up later tonight?" She asked.

"Probably right as night comes. It will be easier for the both of us and I need to go home and do something before meeting with you. Do you want me to watch Orion?" Soundwave asked. Firefrost shook her head as Orion babbled at Soundwave before reaching out to Firefrost who took the small newspark back.

"No, we'll be fine. Plus, he's been a little fussy and if I am not near him, he will not stop crying and screaming," Firefrost sighs, causing the mech to laugh. Orion just giggles before falling asleep on his sister as Soundwave shook his head.

"Okay, will do. I will be heading out. I need to get home, as there is something I need to get home too, and the longer I'm away, the more trouble I could be in," Soundwave smiled at his friend. Firefrost smiled and nodded. Firefrost knew that he needed to do something or get back to something, so she agreed with him. Plus, she had to get back to work herself

"Then don't let me stop you. I should get back to myself, as there is another project that I started that I should get back to. See you later!" Firefrost exclaimed as she waved, turning and leaving him. Soundwave shook his head, knowing that Firefrost had too much on her hands. Soundwave headed home and did his chores very quickly before going to his room to escape his family. In his entire family, the only one who he cares about was Shockwave, however, Shockwave was often busy with his studies and jobs, as he wishes to be a scientist. Soundwave, though joining the gladiatorial rings, wishes to be an officer in communication for the elite guards, and he knew that he couldn't do it with the way he looked and spoke. Despite all that Firefrost did for him and made him more confident with it, he still believed it would be better if he hid them. The moment he entered his room, he was tackled by a black blob, which was his minicon, Ravage. Soundwave merely laughed at his mini-con, or his child from his own spark.

"Hello to you too, Ravage. Sorry that I had to leave you alone. But I promise, I will take you out tonight, and have you meet my friend, okay," Soundwave chuckled as Ravage looked at him annoyed for leaving him for so long, which instead turned into a look of happiness. Ravage knew about Firefrost, as did Shockwave, as Soundwave told them about her. Shockwave didn't care to meet her in particular, as he accepted her so long as she didn't harm him and just make Soundwave happy. Meanwhile, Ravage wanted to meet Firefrost, the one that made his master, his mother, happy, he wanted to meet her. Mostly because Soundwave would not allow him outside the house.
