Y/N was enjoying her usual morning at work. When she walked through the door of wildes —The book store she worked in — she smelt the familiar first copy book smell. Perfect.

Y/N walked in with a huge grin, she loved her job here. she was paid enough, she knew everything about the books so she could recommend them to people and she got along with her colleagues.

"Hey [Y/N], how long is your shift today?" Her co-worker, rob, called to her from behind the counter.

"Only the usual 9-5." She smiled warmly at rob, joining him behind the counter.

"Cool, awesome." He noted, "could you do me the favour of packing up this order for Mr. Wayne?" he handed her the parcel, smiling.

"Mr. Wayne?" She smirked, "I assume it's another first edition of a book?" She laughs with rob.

"You bet." He smirks too. "This time he's collecting it from the store though."

"Alright, thank you Rob. I'll get all of that ready."

She set the package aside and began reorganising the books from the bookshelf to her left. She organised it by alphabet, by colour, by the alphabetical order of the authors. Any way that looked nice.

"Package for [Y/N] [L/N]?" A delivery guy said, she stepped off the book shelf and quickly came to sign it, eager.

Normally, [Y/N] would by Wilde's some books, and there they were, old books, new books, manga — you name it she bought it, she always loved books and she would love to build her own bookshop one day.

She signed the package, "Thank you miss." The guy said. She smiled and went back to organising her shelves, putting her newest package to the side so she could add those books in when she needed them.

Once she had finished she took a seat behind the desk, filing out books and registering purchases when she saw someone come in.

He had a sharp jawline, icy blue eyes and jet black hair. He was dressed in a black suit with a nice navy tie, she couldn't help but stare. She soon noticed a small boy with him, they looked almost identical. She quickly realised it was Bruce Wayne and that she hadn't packaged his order from earlier.

"Hello, I'm here to collect a parcel. The order should be under the name Bruce Wayne." He said, she flushed cherry red.

"Yes Mr Wayne, I'll have that right with you. Romeo and Juliet correct?" She said, reading the tab on the computer.

"Yes, my son Damian is reading the book in English, at first I got him an annotated copy to help him with his exams. But he said he'd like a copy that he could annotate himself so I thought we'd get a first edition copy of it for him, that way it's kind of like bringing an old tradition to him." He beamed, she couldn't help but smile. Mr. Wayne seemed like he cared deeply about his son.

"Ah, that makes sense." She smiles, "does Damian enjoy English?"

"He does, yes, he enjoys reading poetry and books."

She laughs, "Me too, English was my favourite subject at school." She caught Mr. Wayne staring at the poster for her creative writing club.

"Do you mind telling me a bit about that creative writing club?" He requested, which immediately excited her. She loved ranting about how awesome her club was.

"Oh yes! That's the creative writing club. It runs for an hour or two every day after school, of course it's not compulsory to come every day though."

"Hm, that sounds interesting. could you tell me what you do each session? Is there a specific way?" He hummed.

"Yes there is! On a Monday we go over students English homework. On a Tuesday, we do a session of reading. Wednesday is creative writing. Thursday is tutoring. And we do more creative writing on a Friday. I could print you out a few leaflets if you're interested. I'll add my email and number in so you can contact me too." She said, counting all the days with her fingers.

"Yes please, I think Damian really likes it in here. Speaking of, I don't suppose Damian could borrow that book. I have a library card from here somewhere." Bruce gestures to the boy, clearly indulging himself in a good book.

She laughs, "of course, I'll do that now.", Damian quickly runs to the desk at Bruce's call and puts the book up on it for [Y/N] to see. Percy Jackson, nice.

"Nice choice in books kiddo," she hands him the book back, giving Bruce the now packaged Romeo and Juliet too.

Damian had been attending the creative writing group for a few weeks now. Him and [Y/N] got on perfectly, and so did her and Bruce.

"Miss [L/N], father would like to invite you to dinner tonight. Would that be okay with you?" As the words left Damian's mouth she flushed bright red.

"Uh, yeah! Totally!" She said.
————————————————————————

Throughout the dinner, [Y/N] couldn't help but stare at Bruce, and Bruce couldn't help but stare at [Y/N]. She was in a Scarlett dress, while Bruce was in a grey suit. They both kept looking at each other, no matter who was talking.

"Why do you both keep staring at eachother? It's not very polite to the person that's talking." Damian glared.

"They just like eachother Damian." Dick laughed.

"You what now?!" Damian yelled, looking like a traumatised child.

"So, [Y/N], how has Damian been in creative writing?" Bruce asked, trying to change the conversation.

"He's been absolutely great! I loved his poem last week, it was so touching!" She laughed, telling them all about it.

Once dinner had been finished the boys ushered Damian, who refused to leave, out the room. Leaving only Bruce and [Y/N] there.

"[Y/N], thank you for helping Damian with his school work and encouraging him with his writing. He looks up to you a lot." Bruce smiles, [Y/N] blushes.

"It's no problem Bruce, Damians an amazing kid, he gets it from you." She laughs, which was quickly interrupted with a small kiss from Bruce.

"I love you, [Y/N]."

"I love you too, Bruce."

"And that boys, is how I got with your father." She laughs, "now, have fun watching your movie. And remember, no going to bed late."

She smiles at them before walking out of the theatre room.
