It was lunchtime, and Bella and I walked to our locker. As I turned around, I felt Chris' arms wrap around me, and he gave me a gentle kiss on the cheek. "Hey beautiful, I missed you..." he whispered, kissing my cheek again. "I miss you too..." I replied, hugging him. Bella, Christian, and I then headed to the cafeteria to grab some lunch.

We found a table to sit at, and I told them about Shantel wanting to be friends with me. "I don't think it's a good idea for you to be friends with that girl. She's nothing but drama," Bella said, concern in her voice. I rolled my eyes, but deep down, I knew she had a point.

"Yeah, beautiful, I don't want you to get involved with Shantel," Christian said, concern in his voice. I sipped my juice box and sighed. "

She needs to get over it, Christian. You don't want her anymore, and I know for a fact that she's the type of chick who would fight any girl for a man. I don't want you to lose yourself because of her," Bella said, worry in her eyes.

"Don't worry, Bella. I won't be close to her, but I will keep my eyes on her," I assured them. Christian smiled at Bella, and we all finished eating our lunch. As the bell rang, we gathered our books and headed back to our lockers to get ready for our next class.

As I was at basketball practice with my team, we had a game scheduled for Friday night. I was with my friends Marcus and Devon when I shared the story about Shantel wanting to be friends with Alexis, and how uncomfortable it made me feel about their friendship.

Marcus said, "You are sure about them being friends or we know Shantel, she will fight someone to get your attention."

I replied, "I don't care, I just don't want Alexis. I want them around her."

Devon reassured me, "You shouldn't be worried. Shantel won't get to her. I promise you."I said firmly

"Great so what you got planned tonight.."Devon asked

As I walked toward Alexis after school, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and nervousness. I knew that I had been seriously considering pursuing a relationship with her, and my friends had been encouraging me to go for it.

Marcus, ever the blunt one, had asked me if I was serious about Alexis. I nodded and smiled, thinking about how she was truly one of the most beautiful girls in my life. It wasn't just her physical appearance that made her stand out, but her vibe, her personality, and the way she made me feel like a human being.

In contrast to Alexis, Shantel had treated me badly and negatively impacted my self-esteem. I was determined not to let her influence my relationship with Alexis.

Devon, always the supportive friend, urged me on. "Damn man, someone is in love," he said. "Go for her, don't give up, and don't let Shantel ruin your relationship with Alexis."

As I continued walking, I thought about what my friends had said. I knew that I needed to be true to myself and pursue a relationship with Alexis if that's what I truly wanted. I was ready to take the risk and see where things went, knowing that the potential reward was worth any potential heartache.

I couldn't help but smile as I approached Alexis, feeling a sense of excitement and hope for the future. It was time to take a chance on love and see where it led us.

As I approached Alexis, I noticed her sitting on the sidelines, watching the basketball practice and the cheerleaders. Shantel, who was on the squares, rolled her eyes at the cheerleaders. I walked over to Alexis and she handed me a bottle of water.

"Thank you," I said, as I sat down next to her. She smiled and asked, "How was your day? How do you manage to do all this basketball and school? You must be exhausted by the end of the day."

I nodded in agreement. "Well, I had to make it work. I know it's tough to juggle a lot of things, but I'm glad you're here to see me practice."

As I spoke, I leaned in and kissed her on the cheek. Shantel watched us talking, her eyes filled with a mix of jealousy and disdain. But I didn't let her presence affect me. I was focused on Alexis and the possibility of building a relationship with her.

Despite Shantel's attempts to ruin things, I was determined to show Alexis that she meant the world to me. As we continued to chat, I felt my heart swell with happiness, knowing that I was finally on the right path towards love and happiness.

After practice, we decided to head to a little pizza joint. We spent the evening talking and laughing, and I couldn't help but feel a strong connection with Alexis. It was unlike any feeling I had experienced with any girl before, and I knew that I wanted to take our relationship to the next level.

As we enjoyed our pizza, I could feel the moment approaching. I took a deep breath and said, "So I have something I want to tell you." Alexis smiled at me and looked into my eyes.

"How would you feel if I asked you to be my girlfriend?" I nervously asked.

Her eyes widened, and she said, "Are you serious? You want me to be your girlfriend?"

"Yes, Alexis. I haven't had so much in common with a girl before, and I love your smile and beauty. Your vibe... I want you to be more than just my girlfriend," I added, wanting to convey the depth of my feelings.

She smiled, her eyes shining with delight. "I would be honored to be your girlfriend," she said, her voice filled with genuine happiness. I looked into her eyes and leaned in for a kiss, feeling a mixture of nervous excitement and pure joy.

As our lips met, I could feel butterflies in my stomach, a testament to the strong feelings I had for Alexis. It was a magical moment, one that I would cherish for a long time.

As we pulled away from the kiss, I knew that our relationship had reached a new level. However, I also knew that this was just the beginning of a wonderful journey with Alexis. I was excited to continue getting to know her, to deepen our connection, and to build a lasting and meaningful relationship with the girl who had captured my heart.

With a renewed sense of purpose, I vowed to be the best partner I could be, supporting and loving Alexis every step of the way. Together, we embarked on this new adventure, hand in hand, ready to face whatever challenges and joys life had in store for us.
