Author's pov-

Ishika woke up to the familiar sounds of bird chirping. After completing her morning routine, she joined her parents for tea. As they sat together, Ishika's parents looked at her for answers, she mustered the courage to express her thoughts.

"I've been thinking," Ishika began, "before i decide anything, I would like to meet him."

Her parents exchanged a glance, then looked back at Ishika. Her mother spoke gently, "I understand your concern, beta. We trust your judgment. If meeting Shaurya will make you feel more comfortable, then we agree. We will arrange a meeting."

Ishika felt a wave of relief wash over her. She knew her parents' acceptance was not a given, and their understanding meant everything to her.

After breakfast, Ishika's father picked up the phone and dialed Shaurya's father's number. "Hello, shrikant," he greeted. "how's everything going?"

"Bhole nath ki kripa hai", replied Mr tripathi." How are you?

"I am good too." Said ishika's father.
"I was thinking, before we make any decisions, why don't we let the children meet?"suggested ishika's father.

Mr. Tripathi paused, considering the suggestion. "That's a good idea," he replied. "Maybe after meeting Ishika, Shaurya will agree. Let's arrange a meeting."thought to himself.

"Okay, i'll inform you once i talk to shaurya," shaurya's father confirmed before hanging up.

(At tripathi house)

At lunchtime, Mr tripathi noticed that everyone was present except Shaurya. He asked Shivangi, "Bhai kaha hai?" (Where is Shaurya?)

She replied, "Wo packing kar raha hai, uska flight shaam ko hai." (He is packing; his flight is in the evening.)

Mr. Tripathi decided to discuss the matter with Shaurya before he left.

He found Shaurya in his room, folding clothes and stuffing them into a suitcase. "Shaurya, can we talk for a moment?" Mr. Tripathi asked.

Shaurya, tired from the packing, sat down with a sigh. "Dad,is this about marriage..?"

Mr. Tripathi sat next to him. "I know you're not keen on this marriage, but I think meeting Ishika might change your perspective. Why don't you cancel your flight and meet her?"

Shaurya thought for a moment. Meeting Ishika wouldn't hurt, and maybe it would ease his family's worries. "Okay, Dad," he said finally. "I'll cancel the flight. But dad can you arrange the meeting in the evening? I have an important meeting on wednesday, so I need to reach Delhi by noon tomorrow.

"Alright, beta, I'll take care of it",replied Mr tripathi

Ishika pov-

As I stepped into the café, my heart raced with nerves, fully aware that this encounter could potentially reshape my life.I am dressed in a white chickenkari anarkali suit and pink dupatta and a beautiful jhumka this was all i could pull off on such short notice.

Shaurya's arrival drew my attention, and I couldn't help but admire his sharp features and confident demeanor and how great he is looking in blue shirt and khaki pants

"He bhagwan, kitna handsome hai," I mused to myself, swiftly reprimanding my wandering thoughts.

(Oh god,his so handsome) .

My inner voice cautioned against distraction. "Ishika, distract nahi hona," it warned, to which I silently acknowledged, "Haan pata hai meri maa," striving to maintain focus on the present moment.

(Ishika,don't be distracted).

"Hi, I am Shaurya," he broke the silence, prompting a flustered response from me, "Hi, I am Ishika."

After what felt like an eternity, Shaurya initiated conversation. "You study in BHU, right?" he inquired, offering a welcomed topic of discussion. "Yeah," I replied, relieved to have a starting point.

"That must have been hard. I gave the entrance exam twice and failed in both," he confessed, eliciting a chuckle from me. "It was tough, but I suppose luck was on my side," I responded with a smile.

After that we gave our order and talked little bit more about each other i couldn't help but like him. He is simple somewhat the gentleman described in the books i read on top of that he is handsome and rich too he is just so perfect. But "ishika you can't let yourself be swayed by this and i am damn he is going to reject you, you are not like that beautiful sexy female leads on your book ." i reminded myself

"So, about marriage," Shaurya broached the subject after a moment of contemplation, and I braced myself for the thing i waited for I knew he wouldn't say yes.

"I think i like you. I was kinda worried about your age, I still am, but if you don't have any problems, I guess it's a yes from my side," Shaurya confessed, momentarily catching me off guard.

Collecting myself, I asserted time to play the last card, "I too don't have any problems. I just have a few conditions."

"Conditions?" Shaurya inquired, to which I explained, "I want to continue my studies and support my parents financially when I get a job." His reassuring response left no options. "These are your rights. I have no say in it. You wanna work, study, do whatever you want to," he affirmed.

"So, it's a yes?" I cautiously sought confirmation, adding with a playful smile, "I mean, who wouldn't like a rich, handsome man as their husband."

We concluded our snacks and coffee in companionable silence, exchanging stolen glances. Shaurya insisted on paying the bill and offered to escort me home as it was already seven. Despite initial hesitation, I acquiesced, and as he dropped me near my house, i was stuck between liking him, following my heart and making sure to not get charmed by his actions because of the all experiences i had in the past.
