Part 27

Scene starts in the traffic,
Ahaan and others got stuck in the traffic but Kartik's car went ahead from theirs.
Savitri(teary eyed): Ahaan....ab kya hoga? Ab kya kare hum?
Ishqi: Don't worry aunty....kuch nahi hoga....hum bas abhi pohoch jaaenge. Kartik hain na Rhea ke saath....vo Rhea ko kuch nahi hone dega.
Ahaan(teary eyed): Just shut up! Yeh sab hua hi uski wajah se hain. Usi ko bachane ke liye Rhea ne goli apne seene par khaayi.
Ishqi didn't said anything because she thought that Ahaan was worried for Rhea and hence spoke anything.

Soon Ahaan and everyone else reached the hospital. They all saw Kartik sitting infront of the small temple in the mandir teary eyed.
Ahaan went towards the operation theatre and so did Savitri and Siya Ram. Shalu was consoling a crying Savitri and Ayush went to fulfil all the formalities.

Hours flew away and it became dawn. The light of the operation theatre was still on. Savitri's tears had all dried up and Kartik was just numb.

Just then the lights of the operation theatre went off.

Karhaan(together): Rhea kaisi hain doctor?
Doctor: Rhea abhi stable hain but she needs complete bed rest for the next few days.
Kartik: Mil sakte hain usse?
Doctor: Haan....par two people at a time...plz.

Ahaan and Savitri went inside. Slowly turn by turn everyone went inside and at the end....Kartik went inside.

Inside the room,
Kartik came inside teary eyed. Rhea was attached to many wires and was gazing at her with a smile on her face.

Rhea(softly)(smiling): Kartik.....
Kartik came to Rhea and held the hand that Rhea forwarded slowly.

Kartik(teary eyed): Kyun kiya yeh tumne?
Rhea(teary eyed): Aga...r m...ain g..oli nahi... khaati....t..toh....tumhe goli lag jaati.
Kartik(crying): Aur agar tumhe kuch ho jaata toh? Meri jaan nikaal di thi tumne....agar tumhe kuch ho jaata toh main toh....
Rhea(teary eyed): Agar tumhe goli lag gayi hoti toh main marr jaati Kartik.
Kartik(crying): Kyun? Kyun karti ho meri itni parwah? Aakhir kya lagta hoon main tumhara?
Rhea(tears flowing down her cheeks): Mera sab kuch.....
A tear flew down Kartik's cheek simultaneously.
Kartik(teary eyed): K..kya?
Rhea(wiping her tears): I mean....(with a smile)...mere liye mere dost hi sab kuch hain aur tum toh....khaas ho.....toh tumhare liye goli khaani toh choti baat hain...main toh apni jaan....
Before Rhea could speak more Kartik placed a finger on her lip.
Kartik(teary eyed): Agar tumhe kuch ho gaya toh main toh jeete jee marr jaaunga Rhea.
Rhea(with a smile)(teary eyed): Arrey kuch nahi hota mujhe..(tightening her grip)....tum jo the mere saath.
Kartik side hugged breaking down into tears. Rhea caressed Kartik's cheek teary eyed.

After some hours,
Rhea got discharge from the hospital and was brought home.

Scene shifts to Malhotra Mansion,
Rhea was lying on her bed....when Ritesh entered the room with a big bouque in his hand.

Rhea: Wow! Yeh mere liye laaya hain tu?
Ritesh: Nahi...meri ex ke liye laaya hoon.
Rhea: Itna sarcasm na accha nahi hain life ke liye.
Ritesh: Accha? Toh fir reality se kuch poochta hoon...chal.
Rhea: Kaisi reality?
Ritesh(with a smile): Kab se pyaar karti hain Kartik se?
Rhea became shocked hearing this.
Rhea: Kk...kya bol raha hain? Aisa kuch nahi hain.
Ritesh(sighing): Tujhe yaad hain Rhea....bachpan mein tu jab mere saath khel rahi thi school mein.....tab tujhe ek halki si chot aa gayi thi...ek kharoch just. Tab tu ne poore ghar ko 3 din tak sarr par chadha kar rakha tha.
Rhea: Haan....toh.....iska iss incident ke saath....
Ritesh(with a smile): Jo ladki ek chote se kharoch se itna darr gayi ho.....aaj usi insaan ne kisi aur ke liye goli kha li. Aur itna sab hone ke baad bhi tu chahti hain ki main iss baat par yakeen karun ki tujhe Kartik se pyaar nahi hain. Yaar....thoda dhang ka toh jhooth bolti.
Rhea(teary eyed): Yaar.....tu na yeh baat kisi ko mat batana please.
Ritesh: Matlab tu usse pyaar karti hain...apni jaan se bhi badh kar chahti hain use. Hain na?
Rhea nodded lowering her eyes.
