My name is Bria, newly turned 18 and a freshman in University.. I'm Majoring in business.. don't ask me if it's my dream.. based on my marks that is where I got placed in and I'm going with a flow

I just wanted a good job with good salary so I can provide good for my family

To tell you about my family, I only have my sister whose name is Elle.. she is a cute little girl who is just a 14 years old..

Our parents passed away when I was 16 and they just left us this home.. atleast the neighborhood is safe for us..

So far to give a good life for both of us, I'm doing my studies based on my scholarship and I also have a part time jobs in the evening..

As you already know, salary with just a part time job won't be enough.. I have a friend who I known for ages.. he is been also supporting me in all way..

He is actually working now in a company who is now a 23 years old.. you can call him Joshua..

It was as usual day, I woke up early to make breakfast and lunch for my sister and send her to school

I went to her room and saw her sleeping peacefully 'elsi'
I called her name as I gently pat her to wake her up

She hummed in the sleep as she turned to the other side 'every freaking morning'
I whispered as I pat her Little more harder than before

'elsi! Time to get ready for school'
As she isn't waking up, I forcefully make her sit.. her eyes opened a little, her cute lips pouting

She turned to the side, looking at me either lazily or sleepily.. I raised my eyebrows knowing what she is gonna tell me.. I folded my arms, getting myself ready to hear her all time obvious excuse

'ah.. my head is hurting that I can't even sit up.. I should just lie down'
Before her back could reach the mattress, I caught her 'uh-huh.. the headache will be vanishing away once you step inside your school campus'

Every pain of hers will be vanishing away once she entered inside the campus because.. it is just a school-avoiding-excuse anyway

She finally got up from her bed, knowing it is not working.. I watch her go to windows as I make her bed

Her hair is messy, she is yawning while she look out of the window

'oh! A family is moving in'
She informed, her excitement of watching a family moving in our opposite home gets higher

I walked to the window, standing beside her, I watched the family moving in.. that big home was said to be brought some months ago, seems like they are just moving in today

I turned away, Calling her 'go take a bath-'

'ohhhhhhh! Sister, look here, there is a boy too'
Her excitement after seeing a boy reached a peak

I turned back to the window and noticed the boy..  indeed there is a boy, a little boy.. um.. he looks like..

'he looks same age as me.. finally someone my age, not just oldies'
Am I going to ignore how she says me and Joshua as a oldies?

'elsi! Its getting late'
I pulled her away from the window as she shout 'oh no! Why did you pull me away now? He just turned to our direction!'

Some hours later, she got all ready, we went outside as I put her bag on her shoulder.. I was all ready for my classes too

'oh!'
She exclaimed.. 'hi!'
She waved at someone, opposite to us

I looked at the person, oh, it's him.. the boy who just moved yesterday.. he is wearing the same uniform as her

And he is looking at us too.. seems like he just came out of his home to go to school

He was reactionless.. he didn't respond back to Elle's greeting..

Okay that was kinda.. rude but.. no tension.. he must be a introvert.. not to ignore the thing that he looks all rich even he wear the same uniform as my sister..

I looked at Elle, her lips were thin as if she is thinking something..

I got her to her school as I walk to my university.. evening as always, I came to take her home

As we walk, Elle asked me 'wont you ask about my day in school?'

'i was hoping that you will share it yourself'
I said.. mostly, I'm just tired.. getting her to school after getting her ready and get her back to home, then I have to go to my part time job in the café which is located at the end of our neighborhood

'the boy from the opposite home.. he is not in the same class as me nor my age.. he is actually a year older than me'
I heard her speak

'and how do you know it?'
I asked her, getting curious about her being this excited about that guy..

'he wasn't introduced as a new boy in my class or the other section.. I searched and found out that he is 15'
She explained

'hm.. why did you- .. you want to be friends with him?'
I asked her

'he looks interesting.. you haven't seen him closer, have you?.. he is handsome too.. even it is his first day, I actually heard that he is also smarter'
She spoke about him

She rarely talks about a guy.. now she is doing it, I feel unusual but it is not bad.. it's all about her age anyway..

She really did grown up.. if I tell Joshua about it, he would be calling her and advising her for good one hour

'why are you smiling alone?'
She asked me.. I came back to my senses, realising how much I have imagined..

This made me wants to see him too.. like a closer look? Why not? I noticed that we already reached..

'you okay, sis?'
She asked me, confused.. I nodded as I push her inside 'go.. I will be back'
I said..

'you don't look okay to me'
She said as she walked inside

I exhaled as I face the opposite home.. it looks like same.. like when there was no one

I blinked my eyes 'is there even anyone in there?'

My eyes noticed the boy walking slowly, his hands are in his pocket.. he don't look lively to me..

I kept watching him as I wonder myself..

He stopped putting on his passcode of the door, he turned suddenly, freaking me out

Wait- why did I freak out? He is just a little guy and I was just watching him

'vernon'
He said to me..

My eyes got widen in confusion 'huh?'

'my name.. you and your sister looks too interested in me'
He said, facing me.. the empty road is the only thing parting us..

'yes.. no I mean.. no-'
God, why did I stumble? Embarrassing!!

'i don't date older girls'
He cut me off.. he simply said as he turned back to put on the passcode.. entering inside his home..

Leaving me shocked.. I mean, what did he say?
