You said she reminded you of the color yellow,
So I gave her some of my yellow ribbon,
As though she had earned it,
Since I only reminded you of
When you wrecked on the motorcycle,
And then I hit your car,
Or when we lost the license plate
Crossing the old highway,
Barely scratching your grandpa's truck,
Then, how you totalled it after I broke up with you,
Getting hit by a semi headed home,
So she would never be able to
Go on the long drives with you during golden hour
And fuck in the back of it while
Watching the sunset
