"No one's going to believe you." The words rung through Thomas' ears as he slowly stirred out of a trance, his breaths deep and labored as he sat up. He didn't recognize the room he was in, so his breaths started to come more rapidly.
"H..Huh..?" That was all he could muster up, still adjusting to being conscious. He looked over to the girl at the edge of the bed- she seemed to be hurriedly getting dressed. He blinked, slowly but surely realizing what was happening.
"U..Um.." He panicked, pulling a nearby hoodie over himself. He had no clue who's it was, but he felt the odd need for warmth. "What.. ha..ppened exactly..?"
The girl only laughed as she walked over and, in a jesting manner, pushed his face back. "Don't worry about it." Then, she turned around, darting out of the door.
The sounds of a party downstairs began to overwhelm his ears, causing him to pull the hoodie over his head as he looked at the blanket covering his legs in disbelief.
He thought he knew what had happened. He just couldn't accept it, he didn't want to come to the actual realization that such a thing had happened.
He slowly rose to his feet, looking around for his shirt. He, who was usually so confident, was now severely disheartened. He was shaky, he had trouble walking, and he definitely had trouble seeing- his head hurt like hell, impacting him severely, and the noises from downstairs weren't making it any better.
After he pulled his shirt on, he searched his pockets, thankful that his pants were still intact, and even more thankful when he realized his phone was still there. "Oh.. oh thank God.." He grabbed it from his pocket, quickly calling upon his friend.
Ring. Ring. The phone kept ringing, and for a second, a hopeless expression sprawled out on Thomas' face. It was wiped away the second that the call had been received.
"J-Julli!" He choked out, gasping for air. He rushed, trying to explain the situation as best as he could, but it seemed like his words weren't enough. As much as he tried to explain, he couldn't get the exact description out. He was a bit too panicked to do such a thing.
A voice rang from the other side of the line. "..What do you expect me to do?" This caused Thomas to freeze. He.. didn't know. He just needed someone to confide in- That was what he was about to explain, but sadly, he wasn't able to get that out, as Julli's stern voice came to his ears again.
"I don't know, Thomas. That type of stuff," He could be heard sucking in the vapor of a vape, before blowing it back out. "That kind of stuff doesn't happen to people like you without it being warranted."
Thomas went stiff. His breathing, labored. Warranted? He had little to no clue about what had actually happened, how everything played out.. how would he have allowed that? "I— That's not, no.. I wouldn't be feeling like this if.."
"Feeling like what?" He was interrupted. The more Julli spoke, the more it seemed like he didn't care. Thomas was getting freaked out- his stinging eyes started to water, and he clutched onto his dying phone tightly.
"..Scared, I— I don't.. exactly.. know!" He mustered up. His voice switched to that of a desperate man's. "Please.. I—I don't.. can you pick me up?"
Silence, for a bit. Then, a mischevious laugh erupted from the other end of the line. "Aha, no? I'm chilling with my girls, you think I'm gon' deal with your mess? Spare meh."
Before Thomas could release another variety of begs, before he could ask him any more questions, the other hung up the phone. Thomas stood there, shaking tremendously. He couldn't do this on his own, but he had no one to talk to. He couldn't turn to anybody.
He had already gained himself the reputation of the 'Town's Local Whore', or some sort of prostitute, but the thing is he had no clue how that title was set upon him. Maybe it was the way he dressed? Maybe there were more occurrences like this that he wasn't remembering? Hell, maybe even both..?
He was freaking out too much to figure that out. He rushed out after gathering his things- he didn't bother looking through his bag, he just hoped nothing had been stolen.. which was unlikely, as he was dirty rich.
He rushed home, not trusting an Uber. The town was small, he knew how to get home. He'd be fine.. hopefully. "I just.. I want to get home.." He spoke to himself, running forward.
He slammed himself into the door once he reached his house, falling through it once it gave in. He panted, shutting it behind him and leaning against it. He buried his head in his hands, taking deep, forced breaths.
That girl was right.
No one would believe him.
