The Disk Shot is a Nerf-branded disc launcher. The disc launcher is unique in that it fires discs into the air for the player to fire at, much like actual skeet shooting. Discs are launched by using the packaged remote, which can be attached to a blaster via tactical rail.
Pressing the "launch" button on the top rear side of the remote will cause a disc to be tossed into the air. Players can also choose which angle to toss the disc into the air; discs can be fired either straight up or as much as 45 degrees to the left or right. A red plastic tab protruding from the launch slot visually indicates the launch angle, but that tab can be pushed in out-of-view for an added challenge.
The "motion" button on the side of the remote toggles between a constant launch angle or sweeping back and forth.
The discs are inserted into the back of the Disk Shot. There is a spring-loaded plastic arm holding the discs in place once inserted.
