Camila's POV

It had been two weeks since I came to this place to walk and play with Thunder and Leo. I was paid three hundred dollars for spending two hours with them in the morning. I got more than what I got from walking my neighbors' dogs. I even got paid more than all my part-time jobs combined. Since I had a better income, I quit my food delivery job, but I kept my teaching Spanish job, which was only one and a half hours a day, four times a week. I also skipped helping my neighbors with their dogs unless they could not find someone else and urgently needed my help.

I enjoyed this job because I loved dogs, I got paid well, and I had more free time myself. It was almost two weeks since I came here, but I never saw Ms. J. again. I only met Mrs. Wilson, who was the head of the housekeepers. When I arrived last Monday, she was the one who interviewed me, introduced me to the dogs, and told me everything that I needed to know. She was a blonde woman in her mid-fifties. She was kind and generous. She always asked me if I had had my breakfast. She would offer me breakfast if I had not had any. She also would make me take home some cookies or food. I did not reject it now since she always offered me a delicious one.

During this week, Mrs. Wilson also prepared dinner for me when I came for the evening shift, like today. She asked me to come for two shifts when Mrs. J was out of town or the country and could not spend time with Thunder and Leo in the evening. As agreed in advance, I only took the morning shift, but I would take the evening shift if Ms. J was not available for them. I did not mind if it was not for the long term. I only had to adjust my Spanish classes. The payment was also good. I got five hundred for the night shift and free dinner, even desserts.

The job was fun, the pay was good, and the people here were also good. I had met eight out of ten people who worked here. Most of them came in the morning and left in the afternoon, except the security, the driver, and Mrs. Wilson, who had more flexible hours. When I was here, Mrs. Wilson would leave when I left. She lived nearby at the house that Ms. J bought her where other staff could stay there if they would like, too. The boss seemed to treat her employees well. I never met her again since that day at Dinah's party. She did call me once last Friday, asking me how I was doing, spending time with Thunder and Leo. It was a brief call so we did not talk about anything else.

"Camila!" Mrs. Wilson called me from the kitchen garden.

"Yes!" I was sitting in the garden, playing with Thunder and Leo. It was still half an hour to go. "Yes. Mrs. Wilson?"

"Are you hungry now?" She asked me. "The dinner is ready."

"I'm good. I can wait for another half hour." It was not a formal job, but I had to be professional.

"No, the dinner is ready. Please, wait at the Victorian gazebo!" She told me.

"Oh, you want to have dinner there?" I asked since it was not usual. Usually, Mrs. Wilson and I would have our dinner in the kitchen.

"Yes!" She said and went back to the kitchen.

"Alright!" I followed her into the kitchen area to use the restroom.

.

After using the restroom, I went to the other side of the garden where the Victorian gazebo was. I let Thunder and Leo follow me since their playtime was not over yet. They were so good. I loved them, and I knew they loved me, too, even though I only spent two weeks with them. I sat down, waiting for Mrs. Wilson. I chuckled when I saw Mrs. Wilson showed up with a food trolley, thinking it was less hustle to have our dinner on the kitchen island even though, having dinner at this beautiful gazebo in this garden was not a bad idea. I stood up to help her.
