I was currently stuffing my face with some food that Kierra decided to whip up for me until Remi came in and started taking food off of my plate. "Remi, I swear I'll break your arm if you steal my food again," I growled, seizing her arm to prevent another bite of my hijacked meal.
She immediately sucked her teeth and snatched her arm from my grasp. "That's how you treat your sister when she has access to your wife?" She scoffed, making my eye twitch.
I slid her the rest of my food, waiting for her to spill about my woman. "She's worried about this ritual, preparing Cherish to become her right hand, turning Cherish, decorating the house-" she listed, making me sit up straight and tilt my head.
"There's more? Why haven't she come to me?" I quickly asked.
She shrugged her shoulder while digging her fork into my food. "She's been so busy that she hasn't had the time, I guess," she mumbled.
"My food is my thanks, Remi," I rushed while running my hand down my face.
The last thing I want is for Kierra to overwork herself. I stopped by our office and found her immersed in typing at the computer. "Hey," I said, knocking on the doorframe.
She looked up, her smile as radiant as ever. "How about we take a break, love? Let's step out and enjoy some fresh air," I suggested, resting against the doorframe.
"We have so much work left," she replied with a frown.
I moved away from the wall and approached her. "I know, but you've been at it without a pause. Why didn't you come to me for some help?" I questioned, kneeling before her.
"Because I still have something to prove," she mumbled, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment.
"Something to- to who, Kierra? You've literally fought for the position you're in," I said, taking her hands in mine. "The title you carry is the only validation you and our people require. Those who doubt your rule deserve punishment. Everyone saw you vanquish that commoner. The thrown is forever yours, baby," I assured her.
She took a deep breath and leaned her head against mine. "I guess you're right," she muttered before giving me a peck on the lips.
That alone brought a smile to my face as she leans back with her head tilted back. "Now, how about that stroll on Earth? I can't say that the smell will be pleasant, but I can say that we can do whatever we want. You name it," I chuckled while looking over her relaxed posture.
She let out a giggle before rolling back in her chair. "I will take you up on that offer. How are we dressing?" She asked while standing up.
I felt my breath get caught in my throat as she towered over me. "Whatever you would like, my queen," I replied, feeling myself fall into a different trance that she holds.
When she looked down at me, she immediately began to blush before running her hand down my waves. I quickly closed my eyes as I felt my muscles relax. "Xyaire?" She called, her voice sounding like a singing goddess.
My jaw was grabbed, causing me to look at her with complete adoration. "What is this, love?" She asked before squatting down to be eye level with me.
"What's what?" I asked in reply.
She let out a hum before letting my jaw go. "I don't want to do anything extravagant. I would like to just relax with my husband. Maybe with some of our friends too?" She suggested, earning a slow nod.
"Whatever you want," I whispered while leaning towards her.
She leaned in as if to kiss me, but then stood up and gazed into my eyes. "I'll happily accept your offer, but let's wait until we return from Earth," she sang softly, extending her hand to lead me to my room.
Rising to my feet, I clasped her hand. Allowing her to lead the way, I trailed behind her, utterly enchanted. When we made it to my room that we still share, I couldn't help but to follow her to the walk-in closet.
She started looking through our clothes for something to wear. "Xyaire?" She sternly called, snapping me out of my trance.
"Yes?" I coughed, rubbing the back of my neck in embarrassment.
Every day, she has this way of drawing me into a trance, compelling me to shower her with praise and heed her every wish. What's really happening to me? It's beyond my control; she leaves me feeling utterly exposed to her influence.
Suddenly, she gripped my jaw, prompting me to fix my gaze sharply on her. "Are you submissive, Xyaire?" She asked, causing me to frown and tilt my head.
"No, I am a king," I declared, laughing as I placed my hands on her waist.
"Then prove it," she dared me.
I chuckled again. "How can I prove that I'm not submissive? I demonstrate my dominance every day," I answered her challenge.
"You were just on your knees for me in the office, sweetheart. There's nothing wrong with being a little submissive to your queen. I promise it's our little secret," she smiled while grabbing the hem of my shirt.
She helped me out of my shirt, while I stumble to reply to her. "We can wear our matching grey tech. I would love to watch you try to compose yourself in it," she whispered in my ear.
She grabbed her tech gear from the table behind me and strode out of the closet. "Shit," I muttered, bracing for the playful teasing I'd get from her during our time on Earth.
"Ready, love?" Kierra called out, causing me to swiftly change into the selected outfit.
"Bestie, we're heading out!" Kierra yelled, already on her way. I grabbed my phone and wallet and hurried to catch up with her downstairs.
Koa's laughter drew my attention, and I saw him gesturing towards Kierra and me while giving me a teasing look. "You're looking like a total cornball, bro," he laughed.
In response, I retorted, "And you, Cherish has you all dolled up like a little princess in that pink, bro."
His grin swiftly morphed into a grimace as he crossed his arms. "At least my woman doesn't dress me like I'm gearing up for a game," he retorted with a sneer.
"Ready!" exclaimed Cherish with a squeal of excitement.
