54. Pain

I cry nights whining in pain
Just as the droughts for rain
I sit by myself watching the stars shine
As my eyes wish for the twinkling in mine
I watch the sun rising and setting
As I'm reminded of the reasons I'm regretting
I smile the whole day and hide myself at night
I laugh until it's night and I'm suddenly not alright
I'm spending my life instead of living
Fighting every battle and never winning
I regret being born, being everyone I used to be
I wish to live, I wish to be free
But instead I cry whining in pain
Just as the droughts for rain
