Chapter two: The Rabbit Hero: Mirko
YOUR PHONE ALARM SEEMED TO BE especially loud this morning! So much so, you had to throw it across the room for it to shut itself up. From that interaction alone, you could already tell today was going to be shit. In fact, every day seemed to be shit when it came to your life. To absolutely convince anyone of that fact: in the moment that you had thought it you had realised that you were late for the interview that your sister had set up with one of the most powerful heroes in the world.
So yeah. Maybe shit was an understatement.
You rushed out the door, hastily locking it before making your way downstairs. Mirko's agency was in the centre of Musutafu- around 10 minutes from your apartment which wasn't too bad, but knowing that you were a slow walker you decided to set of a little bit earlier to give yourself a bit of leeway. It had turned out to be a pleasantly nice day. Spring was just around the corner, with the sun already risen, and things were starting to look up! (Maybe)
Sora had contacted you after two years, Gin was doing well at work, you were finally doing something with your life. You could even go so far to say your day was brightening up, however you were far from being gods favourite.
"Oh. Hey! Y/N?"
Kamimari Denki. Teenage boy. Lots of hormones. That's all you could say about his character.
"Yes...Hello." You frowned, taking a singular earbud out. "Listen I'm really-"
"Are you doing anything right now?" He cut you off — to your immense dissatisfaction. "I know a place. Just down the road actually."
"I'm busy. Sorry." You brushed past him, hoping he wouldn't follow.
"That's ok! We can plan for another time while I walk you to your place! Two birds, one stone as I always say."
"Right..." You played along, hoping he would soon catch onto your defensive body language.
"Where you going anyways?" He asked, jogging a little to walk in step besides you. Seems the speed walking tactic was a fail.
"A friends. Nothing important. You don't have to walk me-"
"And leave a helpless damsel like you in her own? I could never. It wouldn't be very heroic of a hero to leave such a helpless civilian in the face of danger!!"
You deadpanned, sparing a confused glance at the yellow-haired boy. Seems he was trying to egg you on to ask him something. You groaned, guessing it wouldn't hurt to humour him for a little bit longer. "A hero?"
"That's right!" He immediately exclaimed, and began to talk about how he was joining some prestigious hero school, blah blah, backstory, place name, proper name. But thankfully, it seemed like luck was at your mercy today, as a very distinct building rose up ahead of you.
You pointed to the skyscraper, which had a huge pair of bunny ears on the front. "We're here." You waved to Kamimari, feeling thankful to finally be rid of him as you finally stepped inside the lobby of Mirko's agency. Hopefully that would be the last you'd hear of him. All the walls that weren't made of glass was lined with modern art, and plush stools surrounding modernist coffee tables were scattered around the floor. The lady at the front desk looked up from her computer, smiling at your expression as you neared her.
