My mama let me Go over to the Bridgerton's for tea as she will be busy with my sister Prudence's Wedding planning with lord Finch so I told my maid I would be heading out so she can do her duties at the house she bowed then I walked across the Road and knocked on the door to be let in by their butler then he took me to the drawing room to only find "Lady Bridgerton" she looked at me and smiled then said "Penelope dear please come join me" I nodded then walked over to her ad sat down and said, "Where is the rest of the ladies Lady Bridgerton?" She said "I wanted a chance to speak to you alone I hope that's alright with you Penelope dear" I nodded then said "Yes that's fine," She said, "While in the park Yesterday everyone was captivated by your voice dear why hasn't anyone ever heard you sing before dear?" I looked down and said "Mama doesn't like us singing cause it's improper and we won't find a husband if we sing" She sighed then said, "I think the opposite happened Penelope dear you Captivated everyone's attention at the park and I was hoping that you would please Sing at My ball I will be throwing this Friday...Penelope dear you are beautiful just the way you are you don't need to change or be something you are not you have always been welcome in our home whenever you'd like I hope you know this but I've always thought of you as one of my own" I was tearing up then said "I've always felt welcomed and loved here I've never felt Belittled or unwanted here like I do at my own home so I thank you for that but I can't possibly sing with my mama attending" She said, "Don't worry about That Dear Ive already spoken to your mama about it and she said it was fine because she wouldn't be able to attend so she will be sending your maid to escourt you to our ball since she will be busy with your sisters wedding" I looked at her Smiling then said "Id be happy to sing for you then Lady bridgerton" she said "Please call me mom or Violet dear" i smiled then said "Of course mom" then we continued our tea for the evening.
