Willy, Mason and Dom sat in the car across the street from Station 19 and watched as the Aid Car pulled out. Willy pointed to the cab and turned to the back seat to look at Dom.
"That's her, that's the dyke I dropped. I saw her the other day and she tried getting in my face until I put her in her place."
Mason stayed silent. He seriously doubted that Willy could have put Maya in her place. Knowing now that his sucker punch was not what brought his sister down actually made him smile inwardly. But as soon as the feeling of empathy for his sister crept up, Mason pushed it away. His confrontation with Maya served to prove that they were not going to find any way back. Mason couldn't get past Maya's life choices, but something she had said did ring true-she was his twin and as such, there was a bond that wouldn't ever be broken.
A few minutes later, they saw three women walk out of the station and stand by the front door. Dom slapped the seat back and started pointing as he reached for the door handle.
"There, that's Ana! Holy fuck, she's pregnant? Oh I'm gonna fu-"
Mason grabbed his shoulder and held him in the car.
"NO! Sit your ass in the car! What the fuck are you thinking? You can't do shit in front of a fire station! We can follow her and then see what happens."
"M is right dude, we can't afford any more visits from the cops. It's bad enough that pig told me to steer clear of fucking rainbow firefighter, I don't want to have to explain to Mo that we got into it at this place."
Dom shook Mason's hand off his shoulder and nodded. He watched intently as the tall one hugged Ana and Sandy before waving and going back inside.
"Who's that chick they were talking to?"
"That's the chick I first talked to when I was looking for rainbow firefighter. It's a damned shame she's a fucking dyke too...I'd fucking hit that shit hard."
Mason rolled his eyes.
"She's a doctor. A baby doctor which is probably why they are hugging. She's also married to the firefighter."
Willy and Dom turned and stared at Mason.
"Yeah, I guess I should come clean, the firefighter is my twin sister."
Dom blinked and hesitated a minute before saying anything.
"Damn, that's some serious shit. Mo didn't tell me that."
"He doesn't know. Willy just found out recently. I don't talk about myself or anything. I'm disgusted by my sister, but it is what it is."
Ana and Sandy waved and got into their car, Willy turned the key and waited until they passed by before pulling out and following them.

As Carina walked back into the barn, she glanced over her shoulder and caught a glimpse of a car pulling away. She couldn't be sure but it looked familiar.
"Carina?"
Turning her attention back she focused on Andy and arched an eyebrow.
"So much for chaining Maya to the desk. I thought you were as tough as I am but clearly I was wrong."
"Ok listen, in my defense she is only going to check on some old ladies who she met. And I sent Beckett with her so you know he has no problems with being blunt. He won't let her get into anything strenuous."
"Andy, she grabbed her gear and ran like it was Christmas morning to get out of here. If I didn't know my wife as well as I do, I'd not be surprised if she started a fire just to be able to put it out."

Maya and Beckett were closing up the rig when Eloise came out.
"Maya dear, I can't thank you enough for coming and taking care of my Gertie. And I'm so glad you brought this nice young man with you. Sean, you are a sweetheart. If I didn't know better, I'd think that Gertie has a crush on you."
"Well, I do have a way with the ladies, right Bishop?"
Maya chuckled, shrugged her shoulders and nodded.
"I know I've had some intense feelings about you in the past, that's for sure. But I think Eloise is right, her wife was giving you some serious side eye."
Beckett smiled and Maya was sure he was blushing.
"Well, I'm glad that Bishop had me come with her today so I could meet you and your wife. I need as many good people in my life as I can get. Tell Gertie to keep that burn clean and if she wants to fry some chicken, she can call me."
Eloise waved as Maya and Beckett climbed into the Aid car and pulled away.
"Bishop, I never actually apologized for being such a dick to you. I'm sorry, truly. But I'm glad that we have managed to find a way to move past it. I wasn't just blowing smoke when I said I need good people in my life. I'd like the opportunity to call you and Carina friends, when you're ready of course."
"I think you'll be happy to know that my wife has already told me she has forgiven you. I'll admit, I had a bit of a tougher time getting there, but I was a cold hearted bitch doing what I did. The fact that you could forgive me for that? It goes a long way to show me how forgiveness works. I'm not going to let the past dictate the future. Carina and I have been talking about having a get together soon to welcome all our friends to our new house. I'd like you to come...Sean."
Beckett kept his head straight but Maya could see his smile as she smiled back.

The Aid Car turned the corner and Beckett gave the horn a short blast as he backed toward the opening door. Maya gathered her things and swung her door open, to be greeted by her wife, arms crossed, lips pursed with a glare in her eyes waiting for her.
"Hey babe, how's it going?"
Maya jumped down from the cab and took a step toward Carina who leaned back when Maya tried to kiss her.
"Carina? Are you seriously mad because I went out in the Aid Car? It was a sweet little old lady with a grease burn. And look, Beckett and I came right back. Nothing happened."
Carina stared silently for another moment before turning and walking away, the Italian words flowing from her mouth as she stormed up the stairs. Beckett came around and stood next to Maya.
"So do you know what she was saying?"
"Well, I'm still trying to learn, but some of the words I do know...'impossible', 'stubborn', 'turn my hair grey', 'lucky I don't kick her ass'...and then something about me and my uniform."
Beckett stared for a moment at the stairs before turning to look at Maya.
"Damn, that's a lot. What do you think she'll look like with grey hair?"
