Lucifer's pov
"how could you" I growled as we arrived back home.
"Lucifer" Lilith reached out to me "I-"
I slapped her hand away "we worked so hard to try and help our people, to make this a better place for our daughter to grow up in and you were just going to throw it all away for a chance to go to heaven!"
"What?" We turned to see Adam and the others had returned home. Seeing Charlies heartbroken face only made me angrier.
"You have to understand. We had just broken up. It was painful for me to stay here"
"Did you think about Charlie at all? How she'd feel if she lost her mother!?"
"No I wasn't thinking of anyone-"
"Hic" we spun around to see Charlie sobbing into her hands.
"Charlie" Lilith rush over when-
"Get the fuck away from her" Adam pushed her away "you selfish bitch you haven't changed at all! Come on sweetie, let's take you out for a bit" he gently led Charlie outside, lute following close behind.
"May I interrupt?" Alastor appeared behind me "I may have an idea of how to sort out our conundrum"
"Great let's go" I grabbed his sleeve, dragging him outside.
"Lucifer please, I regretted it as soon as I did it. That's why I came back" I ignored her words, too upset to even look at her.
*Time skip*
"Ten thousand years! Ten thousand years I've been sharing my life with her, and I tell her EVERYTHING! My hopes, my dreams, my insecurities, my embarrassing habits, what fucking DEODORANT I like, and she keeps something, like this, from ME?" I ranted to alastor who listened patiently "Why would she lie for so long? Did she think I wouldn't understand? What about me, me! says un-understanding-"
I paused for a moment, looking at their current location "Where are we?"
"Cannibal Town!" Alastor gestured with a bright smile "There's a friend of mine I think you should meet.
"In Cannibal Town? But it's so..." I looked at my surroundings "surprisingly nice here"
"Isn't it though?" He said brightly "and it's all thanks to a very special someone"
He led me inside a butcher shop where a Victorian styled woman chatting to a customer. She spotted alastor and her whole face lit up.
"Oh my stars is that who I think it is? Alastor" she picked him up and spun him around, earning a happy squeak from the boy "oh this town has been so dark since you left us. So what can I do you for. Are you hungry? Or perhaps you're looking for a deal to be made"
"Temping but I'm actually here on behalf of our king" he pushed me forward.
"Oh your highness" she gave me a curtsy "what can I help you with"
"Well you see the exterminators are coming to our hotel. We could use the help of your people to fight them off"
"We will not have your people defenceless of course" alastor placed a hand on my shoulder "we have the key to beat them and when we do your people will eat their fill"
"Intriguing. Alright, you haven't managed to steer me wrong yet" she headed out the door "follow me boys. It's show time!"
