** Zak's POV **

"Benny, are you ready?" I questioned as I looked over at the teen. He was officially geared up. He had an EVP recorder on him as well as one of our night vision cameras.

A big smile made its way to his face. "Yes! Let's do this," he exclaimed. He was radiating good energy. I was hopeful that energy would continue once we got into the house.

"Which room did you get the most energy in the time you came in here?" I asked as we all made our way away from the nerve center.

"That would be the first bedroom up the stairs and on the right," Benny said. "That's where we got some weak EVPs. But we weren't able to decipher what the spirits were saying. But it sounded like a woman and a little kid."

I nodded, thankful for his refresher for myself and the team. "Alright. I think that will be the room you and I will tackle multiple times through the night," I told the crew. "I hope the ghosts recognize you from your last time here. Maybe they will be a bit more active if that is the case."

"We've definitely seen that before," Aaron assured as he looked down at his watch. "It's 11... Is everyone ready?"

Benny nodded, I nodded, and Billy nodded. "Okay guys... Let's do this. Remember, Benny, if you need out at any time, just let any one of us know and we can get you out," I said. "And you're not allowed to be left anywhere alone. One of us always needs to be by you, got it?"

He rolled his eyes but nodded in understanding. Benson obviously didn't like the fact that Jess had made me promise that. But; I didn't want to piss her off. I also didn't want anything to happen to him. I would never forgive myself if something happened to him.

The four of us made our way into the house. It was cold out to begin with. It was November after all. The house was somehow even colder. In a way, it didn't seem like a weather kind of cold, either. It was spirit cold. We began to make our way through the house.

It was a beautiful house. Most of the pictures were still on the walls, and the furniture was still there. But a few things were obviously missing. It could've been from intruders. It could've been from the woman and her family when they moved away.

The entire first floor was uneventful. And after about an hour and a half of trying to get any type of evidence we decided to split into two teams. Billy and Aaron would head down to the basement while Benson and I headed upstairs.

I was intrigued by the room that Benson had talked about earlier. It was odd that we had yet to have any type of evidence.

When we got to the top of the stairs, I felt a pull to that room on the right. Benny was right. There was something in that room.

"Come on, Benson," I said. "We have to go in there. I feel like this is the time." I held my camera up as I turned toward it.

"No," he responded. "This way. There's something this way." His voice was low. It was a tone that I could not place. It was like he was in a trance.

I followed the boy, he seemed to be sure of where he was going. "Have you been into this room down here?" I asked. He seemed to know exactly where he was going. I stepped into the room with him. He was right. There was something.

"No. I never made it this deep into the house," Bensin said. He turned and looked over to the picture on the wall. A single light outside bled its light into the room, only illuminating the picture. It looked like Benson was in a trance as he looked at it.

I held my camera up and moved over to him, showing the picture to the camera. It was of a man and a woman with a little girl next to them as they stood in front of the house. All three of them had big smiles on their faces.
