Fiona's POV;

~ Daniel's Bachelor Pad ~

"Will Trevor handle her, Danny?" I worried.

"He will Fion, you calm down." Daniel stroked my hair.

Cheryll's sobbing face kept flashing in front of me every time I closed my eyes. Till a few months ago, I didn't even know her mother was alive, let alone that she was Eric Smith's daughter.

As her best friend, I should've been mad at her for keeping it from me, but after learning why she did so, I understood her. It's no easy job to keep someone hidden from the world, especially if they're related to a well known personality like Mr. Smith.

After learning all she's been through from the age of sixteen and how she struggled to keep Trevor safe from whoever was trying to kill him, I really felt bad and admired her at the same time.

If she's determined to do something, nothing can make her back down from it, Cheryll's that kinda person. Her talent always amazed me, but who knew of her struggles? From the moment I learnt about them, I've began respecting her.

I've no doubt that Trevor would be able to take care of her, but couldn't help myself from worrying. It's her mother she's lost after all and I know the pain.

"Can you take me to see her tomorrow morning as the first thing, Danny?" I asked.

"We'll go, dear. Rest now." He kissed me and brought me into his arms.

After my parents, Cheryll had been the close one I'd call a family; until I met Daniel. He caught my attention the moment I saw him.

I remember that day as it was yesterday. I'd taken Cheryll home after she fell sick at school and saw him in Trevor's room.

He was so indifferent towards me at the beginning, that I never thought I'd ever be with him the way I wanted to.

But here I'm, in his house, in his arms, being consoled and made feel secured.

"I love you, Danny." I pecked him and felt him smile.

Oh no, I know that smile!

"I guess you don't wanna sleep tonight, huh?" He said in a low growl against my ear.

"Danny, no___"

"Too late, babe."

And that's how I shot my own foot.

He was putting on his shirt when I opened my eyes. The clock said 6 am, I sighed and sat upright. He raised an eyebrow at my spent appearance.

"As if you're not to be blamed." I scowled at him and went to take a bath.

~ Miles Manor ~

Trevor opened the door when we knocked. We sat in the living room in silence for a while before Daniel spoke.

"Is Mrs. Miles better today?" He asked Trevor.

"Honestly, I don't know." He shrugged.

"What do you mean you don't know? Did she at least sleep well last night?" I asked.

"Man, how'd I know? We don't share a room." He answered.

"What!?" I frowned. Then slapped my forehead. "Are you Taylor?" He nodded. "We forgot he came yesterday, Danny." We snorted at each other.

It's amazing how Cheryll can tell them apart when even their mother can't. I don't know how she does that, but did want to witness it, especially when she figures it's Trevor with closed eyes.
