Lapis sighed as she once again tried to keep Jasper in the water chains. Truth was, she did, in fact, need help. She just wouldn't ask for it. She wanted to be with Steven, she wanted to try being friends with the Crystal Gems, but she was here, in the bottom of the sea, holding Jasper as her prisoner.
Sort of.
She remembered when the war happened. That was when she was just a hundred years old, which, in Homeworld, was considered a kid's age. Lapis had met a gem called Emerald, who was a kind and nice Crystal Gem who had helped her escape from that....prison. Lapis shivered just thinking about it. Emerald and her had became friends, and they would help eachother out during the war. But one day, Emerald had gotten hit, and a day after that, the war had ended, but Emerald had to regenerate-
For a long time.
Lapis knew how long that would take-
about three thousand years. She suddenly realized it-
This year was the year Emerald would Regenerate.
She smiled. At least there was one good thing coming out of this.

Connie stared at the water, along with the rest of the Crystal Gems. They were looking for Lapis, and Steven was getting worried.
"Do you think she's okay? I hope she's okay..." Steven said, worried. "I'm sure we'll find Lapis, Steven. No matter what." Connie flashed a smile at Steven, making him blush. Lapis could hear them talking. They were right above her. She told Jasper to shut up and held the chains even tighter. Luckily, they didn't find her. But Steven found something.
"Hey! Look, It's a green gem!" Steven pointed to what looked like an emerald. Garnet suddenly got all excited, and smiling, she said, "Emerald!"
'Uh oh..looks like they found me. Garnet is going to be so excited when i wake up.'
