(This chapter takes place after the episode ''Nightmare Hospital''). Steven and Connie walked inside Steven's house, looking worried. Connie was blushing. Why? She felt all giddy inside, as if she had butterflies in her stomach. Steven had been trying to attack the fusion experiments and had said ''Get your hands off my Connie!'' Which is what was making Connie feel all giddy inside. Connie felt like fusing again..
''Steven?''
''Yeah?''
''What are we going to tell them?'' Connie asked Steven. Connie was talking about what they would tell the crystal gems about the fusion experiments. ''I don't know....''
''Um...Steven, remember when we fused?'' Steven nodded.
''I want to fuse again..'' Connie blushed a scarlet red. ''I felt happy when we fused, as if it felt right being together...'' Connie was holding Steven's hand. Both of them were blushing, and for some reason it somehow felt right holding hands together....
Suddenly, Steven's gem began to glow, both Connie and Steven disappeared.
Replaced by Stevonnie.

Inside the temple, Pearl and Amethyst were arguing about touching Pearl's sword. Aquamarine and Lapis were blushing while talking to each other. Garnet was....well, being Garnet.
Everything was normal until Stevonnie came in. The talking stopped. Pearl was in shock, Garnet was smiling again and Amethyst, Lapis, and Aqua had stopped talking. ''Um...hi guys?'' Stevonnie looked around nervously. ''We fused again...''
''Steven! Connie! This is highly dangerous, what if it affects you?! You two need to unfuse right now!''
Stevonnie sighed. ''But this..this feels right, Pearl....''
Pearl looked angry. ''You need to unfuse right n-'' But she was interrupted by Stevonnie.
''Connie and Steven don't want to. Haven't you realized it yet?''
Pearl looked confused. Stevonnie sighed once again.
''Connie and Steven are in love, Pearl. A bond as strong as love won't be broken. I represent their love and friendship. Steven and Connie might never unfuse. It feels right, together like this.''
Stevonnie smiled.
