As the morning sun filtered through the curtains, Nalyssa stirred from her slumber, feeling warmth beside her. Blinking away sleep, she realized she hard arms wrapped around her torso, the arms being Caitlin. A soft smile curved her lips as she remembered the late preseason game that had brought them home late the night before.

With a gentle touch, Nalyssa eased herself out of Caitlin's embrace, trying not to disturb her peaceful sleep. She slipped out of bed and padded quietly to the kitchen, deciding to surprise Caitlin with breakfast in bed.

The aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air as Nalyssa busied herself in the kitchen, humming softly to herself. She cracked eggs into a pan, savoring the sound of them sizzling. Soon, the scent of bacon joined the chorus, mingling with the aroma of brewing coffee.

Caitlin stirred in bed, blinking sleepily as she caught whiffs of breakfast wafting into the room. Rubbing her eyes, she sat up, a smile spreading across her face when she saw Nalyssa bustling about the kitchen.

"Good morning," Nalyssa greeted, turning to see Caitlin watching her with adoration in her
eyes.

"Morning," Caitlin replied, her voice still thick with sleep. "What's all this?"

"Just a little breakfast surprise," Nalyssa said, bringing over a tray laden with eggs, bacon, toast, and steaming mugs of coffee.

Caitlin's eyes lit up with delight as she saw the spread. "You didn't have to do all this," she said, her heart swelling with affection for the woman in front of her.

"I wanted to," Nalyssa replied, setting the tray down on the bed before joining Caitlin, their knees brushing together under the covers.

They ate in between laughs and conversations, stealing glances and sharing smiles between bites. With each passing moment, their connection deepened, the intimacy of the morning enveloping them like a warm embrace.

After breakfast, they lingered in bed, wrapped in each other's arms, content to simply be together. They talked and laughed, sharing stories and secrets as the hours slipped away unnoticed.

As the afternoon sun streamed through the windows, casting a golden glow over the room, Nalyssa brushed a strand of hair from Caitlin's face, her heart fluttering with anticipation.

"I have something I want to tell you," Nalyssa said softly, her voice barely above a whisper.

Caitlin turned to her, her eyes full of curiosity.
"What is it?"

With a nervous smile, Nalyssa leaned in, her lips hovering just inches from Caitlin's. "I've been wanting to do this ever since we met." she confessed before closing the gap between them in a tender, lingering kiss.

Time seemed to stand still as they lost themselves in each other, their hearts beating as one. In that moment, they knew that this day, this moment, would be etched in their memories forever as the beginning of something beautiful.

As they pulled away, breathless and giddy, Caitlin cupped Nalyssa's cheek, her eyes shining with unspoken promises. "I think I could get used to waking up like this every day," she said, her voice filled with hope and longing.

Nalyssa smiled, her heart overflowing with love. "Me too," she whispered, knowing that this was just the beginning of their love story.

As the morning melted into afternoon, Nalyssa and Caitlin found themselves lost in each other's company, their connection growing stronger with each passing moment.
They decided to take advantage of the beautiful day and go for a leisurely stroll through the nearby park.

Hand in hand, they wandered along winding paths, their laughter mingling with the chirping of birds and the rustle of leaves in the gentle breeze. They stopped to admire blooming flowers, Caitlin reaching out to pluck a vibrant blossom and tuck it behind Nalyssa's ear, eliciting a blush and a grateful smile.

They found a secluded spot by a tranquil pond, shaded by overhanging trees, and settled down on a patch of soft grass. Caitlin leaned against a tree trunk, her head resting on Nalyssa's shoulder as they watched the sunlight dance on the water's surface.

"Can't you believe I ever thought I was straight" Caitlin giggled.

"I mean, aren't you a catholic?" Nalyssa looked at her.

"I can be gay and still be a Catholic. Plus, I knew I was gay even when they were teaching me about how love is only between woman and men" she looked off in the distance, Nalyssa admired her.

Conversation flowed effortlessly between them, ranging from lighthearted banter to deeper discussions about their hopes, dreams, and fears. They shared stories from their childhood, their basketball careers, and the challenges they had overcome along the way.

With each word exchanged, they discovered new layers to each other, deepening their bond and solidifying their connection. Caitlin traced patterns on Nalyssa's palm with her fingertips, sending shivers of warmth through her body, while Nalyssa leaned in to press gentle kisses against Caitlin's forehead, her lips lingering against her skin.

As the afternoon waned, they decided to head back home, their fingers intertwined as they walked side by side. They stopped by a local ice cream parlor on the way, indulging in scoops of their favorite flavors and stealing spoonfuls from each other's cones with playful grins.

Back at Caitlin's apartment, they curled up on the couch together, wrapped in a cozy blanket as they watched a romantic movie. Nalyssa rested her head in Caitlin's lap, her fingers absentmindedly tracing patterns on Caitlin's thigh as they laughed and cried along with the characters on screen.

As the credits rolled, Caitlin turned to Nalyssa, her heart brimming with affection. "Thank you for this day," she said softly, her voice filled with warmth and gratitude.

Nalyssa smiled, her eyes sparkling with love.
"Thank you for being you," Nalyssa replied, her words carrying the weight of a promise for a future filled with more days like this.

With a contented sigh, they snuggled closer together as they share a kiss, their bodies fitting perfectly as they basked in the glow of their newfound love. In each other's arms, they found solace, comfort, and a sense of belonging that they knew they would cherish for a lifetime.
