The days following the breakup were some of the hardest for Lucas. He threw himself into his studies, trying to fill the void left by Ethan's absence. Emily noticed his change in demeanor and tried to comfort him.
"Lucas, talk to me. What's going on?" she asked one evening.
Lucas sighed, feeling the weight of his emotions. "Ethan and I broke up. I was jealous of his friend Ryan, and it caused a lot of tension between us."
Emily listened, her expression sympathetic. "Lucas, jealousy can be a powerful emotion. But if you truly love Ethan, you need to trust him. Have you talked to him about how you feel?"
"I tried, but I let my insecurities get the best of me," Lucas admitted. "I don't know if I can fix this."
Emily placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "It's not too late, Lucas. If you love him, fight for your relationship. Talk to him, be honest about your feelings."
Lucas nodded, taking her words to heart. He decided to reach out to Ethan, hoping they could find a way to reconcile.
