So, y'all like this AU a lot apparently. I'm glad notifications aren't working for Wattpad for some reason for me, since I had 99 notifications when I woke up after the last chapter. 94 of those were comments. 94. I'm not complaining, I'm more impressed at the amount.

I was annoyed I had to go to work and not be able to read them though. Curse you society and needing money to survive.

Also, something about this AU makes me write nearly 5000 each time for some unknown reason. I don't know why. Something in my brain just clicks I suppose.

“I'm sorry he said what now?” LC, like Shy predicted, looked appalled at Sabre's idea of ‘average fighting’. LC was halfway in his chair when he heard Thera inform him of that fact, leading to him freezing where he was  That being halfway in his chair.

All four of them were back in the meeting room, about to go over all the information they just learned and how to proceed from there. Orange Leader, upon hearing Shy's acceptance of being the Lead Researcher for SCP-018, left in a hurry stating that he had visitors.

Overseeing an entire site was a hectic job. One job Shy was glad to not have.

Thera, who was typing up a new section of notes considering SCP-018, huffed. A small smile crossed his face as his fingers danced across the keyboard as he repeated the answer to LC. Scout, who was sitting next to Thera, had his head resting on his hand, attention flicking between the notes Thera was writing up and LC.

“‘Not a good fighter’ my- ugh.” LC pinched the brow of his nose, looking a few years older than he did before the conversation. “Does he not recall the several men he put into the infirmary? Because I do.”

“Yell, for all we know, 018 could be an average fighter where he's from.” Scout pointed out.

LC, in Shy's opinion, did not look like he particularly enjoyed that reasoning. Shy was completely fine with it. If there were others that could fight better than Sabre, then he was glad they didn't have to try and contain them. Well, that wasn't his job exactly, but more LC’s.

Shy merely skimmed his eyes over the paperwork that laid in front of him. The Orange Leader has it ready for him, as if he knew Shy was going to accept the position. It was a decent stack of printed works and information to fill out. It was thicker than most, mostly due to different factors all coming into play at once.

Him not working with sentient SCPs before (on a professional basis at least). Sabre being classified as a Keter SCP instead of an Euclid. Shy being the Lead Researcher instead of just a Researcher. Many reasons all tied together to result in the hefty pile of paperwork Shy was now filling out.

Shy clicked his on a few times, rereading the paper. It was basically stating that Shy adheres to the rules of Keter SCPs and that under no circumstances should he perform an experiment that could even potentially have the SCP escape containment. Shy, with the full knowledge that Sabre could leave whenever he wanted, sat the paper off to the side. He's already signed several DNI papers, with the other three. They, much to their amusement and Shy's annoyance, only had to fill out those papers while he was left with an entire stack.

Thankfully, it seemed as if the other three picked up on the lack of social battery he had. They conversed around him, but not forcing him to have to deal with people. Apparently even without talking and just communicating over text was draining.

Shy's eyes flicked over the next page. It was another one about Keter containment and handling. This one however states that Shy could potentially take liability for any action his researchers do against SCP-018 that result in the SCP injuring/maiming/terminating Foundation Personnel. He signed the few spots needed and wrote the date where it was required. He sat the paper off to the side as he read the next page.
