Chapter 10

I arrived at school, and I noticed that Marinette wasn't there at class. I took a seat and I saw Jay shuffle in talking to Zoe. He didn't wave at me, which means he might still be mad. He could also still be at risk of being akumatized.

"Hey dude", said Nino, as he sat next to me.

"Hey Nino", I said.

"What happened?", he asked. "You're not talking to Jay".

"We got in an argument about you know what", I said as he let out a small 'oh'.

"Since Marinette isn't here, can someone deliver the classwork and the homeworld?", asked Ms. Bustier.

"Adrien, can do it", Alya said, as the rest of the class agreed.

Once class ended, the first break began. I began walking to Marinette's house. "I think Chat Noir made Marinette upset", I said, remembering yesterday's events.

"You realize that you are Chat Noir", said Plagg.

"Yeah, but Marinette doesn't know that", I said, before entering the bakery.

"Hello Adrien", said Mrs. Dupain Cheng.

"Hello, is Marinette here? I need to give her the homework", I said.

"Of course, follow me", she said. Mrs. Dupain Cheng brought me upstairs and we stood in front of the stairs to her room. We both entered the trap door.

"If it's Alya, tell her to leave. She'll catch on to my weakness", said Marinnette.

"But I already have", I said. "May I come on in?".

"Yah sure", said Marinnette, as her mother left. "You're supposed to be at school".

"So are you", I said, softly. "If you want we could go out and get to know each other more".

" No, I am always going to be a terrible person, who lives a lie".

"That's not true", I said, "You're amazing".

"That's just me trying to be someone I'm not", she said.

It's time I tell her. "I don't care, Marinnette. I love you just the way you are!", I said, angrily.

"But I don't", she said, as I gasped. "I loved you in the past not anymore".

"Something's missing", I said. "We'll be together right?".

"No", she said, as I walked out of the room.

I walked out of the bakery. "I'm sorry", I said, as I left them.

"You know, Adrien", began Plagg.

"It's no use", I said, as I walked on the streets. Then tears began rolling down my face. I soon returned to my house and fell on my bed, as Natalie walked in. I looked at my phone and saw Nino calling.

"Aren't you taking the call?", asked Natalie.

"No, tell them I'm feeling tired", I responded, as I faced the other on my bed.

"He is feeling tired", said Natalie through the phone. She soon left and shortly my father entered.

"Adrien, I know you're not a fan", said my father. "But as a parent, it would help keep me assured that you'll be okay by wearing an Alliance".

"How much do you rate your heartbreak?", asked the Alliance.

"Thanks Dad", I said, smiling at him. He soon walked out. "Alliance, delete the app". I placed the Alliance away and continued to cry.

Plagg flew over to me and took a deep breath. "Adrien Agreste, you were an exemplary holder. You always used the miraculous of destruction for the greater good. You were the first cat holder of the miracle box. But today, I must free you from your mission. This way you can live your sappy life with Marinnette", said Plagg, as I gave him the ring.,

"What about Monarch?", I asked.

"Someone else will succeed", said Plagg, as he flew to the window. "I'll never forget you, Adrien".

"Me too Plagg", I said, as he flew away.

I looked at the bag on the floor and saw the folder sticking out. Now that I'm not Chat Noir anymore, I can go back to fighting for Marinette. I grabbed the bag and headed to her house. I entered her house, and entered her room. I saw her putting pictures of me on the walls.

"Oh, hey Adrien", she said, as she tried to cover them all up.

"I forgot to give you your homework", I said.

"Right", she said, as she took it.

"So, you said you used to love me", I said.

"Yeah", she said. "I love - love - Gah! I can't do it".

"You can raise your right hand for yes and left for no", I suggested, as she nodded. "You said that you loved me". She raised her right hand. "You said that you didn't love me anymore, is it true?".

She raised her left hand, as I gasped. "I mean, I do", she said. "I always confuse my left and right".

"Would you, you want to spend time with me?", I asked, as she raised her right hand.

"Thanks for bringing my homework", she said.

"I'm glad I did", I said. There was a pause. "I'm going to go now".

She dropped the folder as we both bent to pick it up. Our foreheads bumped again. "Sorry", we said, at the same time.

"Clout!", we heard from outside, as the both of us rushed up.

"Well, you're going to wait for Chat Noir and Bugaboy to fix this", she said.

"Or Ladybug", I added, as I looked at my ring. We saw Scarabella and two different heroes come up. "Look, it's Scarabella".

"Where's Chat Noir or Bugaboy?", asked Marinette.

"I'm sure everything's okay", I said.

A few minutes later the miraculous ladybugs fix the city. Marnette grabbed my hand. "I'm sorry", she said.

"So it's safe", I said.

"I guess you'll have to go home now", she said.

"Yep, but I'll see you tomorrow", I winked, making her blush.
