Chapter 20
Marinette and I held each other's hands as we walked into school. Everyone was gossiping about the update where Kagami replaced Lila. "Did you know about the update?", asked Marinette, as we both took a seat on the stairs.
"No", I said, as our classmates walked up towards us.
"Adrien, doesn't your father know that you and Kagami broke up? And now that you're living your most romantic love story with Marinette?", asked Rose.
"He does", I said.
"Then why is he doing this? Making up these avatars as a lie?", asked Mylene.
"It doesn't matter. What matters is that they're not really us. Those are fake. The real me is in love with Marinette", I said.
"We know the real truth and so does Kagami", said Marinette, as we both stood up and walked up the stairs.
The entire class took a seat as Ms. Bustier began returning the exams that happened the week prior. "Excellent work, Mylene", said Ms. Bustier, as she soon walked towards Chloe. "Now, I had a small issue with these two tests as they both bear Sabrina's name".
"What?", asked Chloe, as she glared at Sabrina.
"Sorry Chloe, I haven't been getting enough sleep. I've been preparing all your cheat sheets for the end-of-the-year finals", said Sabrina, as she shrunk back in fear.
"Sabrina, are you saying that you've been doing all of Chloe's homework for her?", asked Ms. Bustier.
"Did you really expect me to do my own homework?", asked Chloe.
"But...it has your handwriting on it", said Ms. Bustier.
"Of course she didn't imitate my handwriting. You know that", said Chloe.
"How long has this been going?", asked Marinette.
"Ever since we I mean - Sabrina learned how to write", said Chloe, as Ms. Bustier's eyes widened.
"Alright", began Ms. Bustier. "Sabrina, I'll give you your real grade. Next time, don't do it for Chloe. You need energy for yourself too. Chloe, you're going to need a lot of catching up on. Since you've fallen way back, you're going to need a lot of help".
"Ms. Bustier, everyone knows Chloe uses Sabrina for advantage. She never makes any efforts compared to others", protested Marinette, as she and Jay stood up.
"And now she gets help? Of course, we're supposed to support others when they have a problem. But how can we support them if they're the problem?", asked Jay.
"Marinette, Jay, Chloe is like every other student in this class", said Ms. Bustier. "We have to support her even when she's falling behind".
"First of all, I'm not like everybody else, I'm rich. So you can keep your 'support' and 'falling behind' to yourself", said Chloe.
"See? You're too nice to her", I said, as I stood up as well.
We all turned black around, as we heard Lila get up. "Chloe, you were having a hard time and you didn't tell your friend?", she asked, as Jay, Marinette, and I visibly rolled our eyes.
"School is useless. It's just a daycare when 'everybody else's' parents can't take care of their children", said Chloe.
"Marinette as class representative, I assumed you already talked to your teachers about Chloe", said Lila.
"What? Why would I do that? She has everything. All the privileges and no difficulties. If you want proof, watch how the teachers let her get away with everything", said Marinette.
