An Identity Reveal

Chapter 25

"Oh no", I gasped, as I looked at the destroyed city, fallen Mega Boy, and the dead Ladybug in my arms.

"The only way to end this is to give me your miraculous and Ladybug's", said Monarch, as he reached for my hand. I woke up to find myself trapped in a white room. There was nothing but a bed and a foosball table.

I walked over to the door and began banging on it. "LET ME OUT!", I yelled. "OPEN THE DOOR!".

A robot rolled up to me and it opened its compartment and showed me an Alliance ring. I rolled my eyes as I took it. "We all have nightmares", said the Alliance Kagami.

"We all have fears", said the Alliance me.

"Unfortunately these negative emotions can lead to the worst", said the Alliance Kagami.

"Like getting akumatized by Monarch", I groaned.

"The Tsurugi industry has been researching ways to cope with nightmares. Recently, they have found an antidote which allows you to do peaceful activities with Kagami and Adrien", said an ad voice.

"Wherever your anxiety may be, you will find joy with us", said the Alliance Kagami and me together.

"Just say 'Perfect Alliance'", said the ad voice.

"I can't believe my father went this far to do this", I groaned, as I stepped on the ring.

"Why don't you transform?", asked Plagg, as he flew out.

"Plagg, hide", I hissed.

"May I remind you that kwamis can't be seen or heard by artificial intelligence?", reminded Plagg.

"But how will I transform into you-know-who?", I asked.

"Well", said Plagg, as he flew into the walls. A few moments later, he came back. "No more cameras. Shall we?".

The robots come to me and offer me another ring. I took it and pressed the volume all the way up. I pressed it against the robot's camera."I can't transform", I said. "I'm not in my right mind. I'm mad at myself for listening to my father and for giving up on Marinette. I hate London, the Alliance rings, and my father. Why can't I just be normal?".

"Ladybug can help you", suggested Plagg.

"Don't you get it, Plagg?", I asked, as I sat on the bed. Tears flowed down my cheeks. "I failed when I was the guardian. And I always will. It's better for the superhero team to be without me".

"That's not true", said Plagg, as he flew to my cheek. "You made me proud by becoming the first guardian of the miracle box. No cat holder has ever had the box in possession".

"He's right", said a voice, as I looked up. I saw Bugaboy in front of me.

"Jay?", I asked, as I stood up and wiped my tears.

"We need your help, Chat", said Bugaboy. "The superhero team can't be without our kitty".

"How will we escape?", I asked.

"I have a plan. Transform".

"Plagg, claws out", I said.

"Voyage", he said.

"Are you sure?", I asked, as he nodded. I smiled and entered the portal.

"Mirage!", he said. "Now, everything is set".

"Thanks", I said, as I looked around. That's strange, we were in Natalie's room. "Ladybug?".

I saw her looking at a tablet. "Kitty", she said, as she ran up and hugged me. "I asked Bugaboy to get you because guess what I found".

"What?", I asked, as the three of us crowded the tablet.

"We found the tablet stolen from Master Fu", said Bugaboy.

"Do you think?", asked Ladybug, as we began scrolling.

"This doesn't make sense. Why are there pictures of the revealed miraculous holders and the symbol of the miraculous next to them?", I asked.

"We think Gabriel Agreste may be Monarch", said Ladybug.

"I fought him yesterday", I said. "Bugaboy, was there. I refuse to believe that".

"They're coming", said Bugaboy, as we hid behind a desk in the back.

Monarch walked in and was carrying Natalie. "Dark wings, fall", he said, as he de transformed into my dad.

I gasped, as I looked at Bugaboy and Ladybug in panic. This whole time I was fighting my father. All the miraculous and kwamis were under my roof. I catacylsmed my own father. "I'm sorry", mouthed Bugaboy.

"I knew you weren't on my side ever since you've been supporting Adrien's fling with Marinette Dupain Cheng", said Gabriel. Not my father. "Oh well, let the bygones be bygones". He slid a ring onto her finger. "Think of this as an ending nightmare". He walked out.

The three of us walked up to Natalie. "Where's Adrien and what have you done with him?", asked Ladybug.

"He's safe", said Natalie. "But you three aren't. Monarch is about to send all of humankind against you. Never let him get a hold of your miraculous".

"You look sick", Bugaboy said. "Should we take you to a hospital?".

"No", said Natalie, as she grasped my hand. "I used the peacock miraculous when it was damaged. Forget about me. Stop Monarch at all costs. That's what she would have wanted". Natalie pulled a phone from under her pillow. It was a video of my mother. "Transform back. Transform back". She broke into fits of coughs as she passed out.

"What? Why? Wake up", I begged. I can't lose a third person.

Alarms began balring around the mansion's security systems. We saw some weird looking people who were jumping around on the rooftops. A bunch of teleportations opened surrounding us.

"Release them! Release them!", ordered these people, as they were an entire white suit and began attacking us. "Where are Kagami and Adrien?".

"What are they talking about?", I asked.

"Venom!", said one.

"Clout!", said the other.

"Where are Kagami and Adrien? Release them!", ordered these people, as more teleportations and more people appeared.

"What do we do now?", asked Ladybug, as the three of us used our yoyos.

"Pull on the chandelier!", I yelled, as we tied our yoyos around it and brought it down. It crashed onto the ground.

"Voyage", said Bugaboy, as the three of us teleported to the kitchen.

"Lucky Charm", said Ladybug, as she received a mirror. "Of course, when Natalie said 'transform back' we have to be in our civilian forms so those people don't come after us".

"You hide there, we'll hide here", said Bugaboy, as the two of us entered a separate closet.

"We'll still need to defeat Monarch", I said. "Let's switch miraculous".

"I got them", said Bugaboy, as he grabbed the ring and handed it to Ladybug. "We're going to need Ladynoire and Mister Bug".

"Found you", said a voice, as they grabbed Bugaboy's leg. Monarch.

"Plagg, claws out!".

"Tikki, spots on!".
