**Minji's POV**
I woke up very early in the morning. I laid in my bed for a short while afterwards, still exhausted from last night. When I did decide to actually get up, I had to take extra precautions to step around Hyein precisely to not wake her up. It felt like I was walking through a battlefield of landmines.
I formulated a plan last night; granted, it was a bit of an idiotic plan, but a plan nonetheless: I will get Hanni a music audition. Since she had to ghost her first audition, I figure I could help line up auditions for her when she comes back to Korea. That would surely make her smile. I could already picture her cute lil' innocent gummy smile when I announce what I did. But obviously, this is just something that regular friends would do so nothing special will come out of it.
"Minji?" I heard Hyein groan. She twisted her body towards me staring at me with her big eyes.
"Sorry, did I wake you?" I apologized, although she didn't respond. I checked my phone: 11:37 AM. I should head out before 12 o' clock I thought. Most companies should be opening by now. I grabbed some random athletic clothes from my closet and took a shower. I knew that I'd probably be walking a lot today so it was necessary to grab loose, cool clothes for the journey. When I walked out to the kitchen to grab a quick bite before my journey, I met my mom and aunt in the living room. They were chatting about some tea over some early morning tea.
"Minji, going out so early?" My mom wondered.
"Umm yeah- busy day today," I clarified trying to get out of this conversation.
"Going without Hyein?"
"Yeah...I didn't want to wake her up so early."
"I'm up though?" Hyein said approaching with a banana in her hand.
"Oh. Well, anyways..." I turned toward the door.
"Wait a minute! Take me with you!" Hyein pleaded.
"Ooohhh but...I'm just running errands; REALLY boring errands..."
Hyein shrugged, "so? It's not like I have much to do here either."
I sat down on the sofa, defeatedly, "fine."
~~
The two of us set out shortly after Hyein showered and changed. I ate a small bowl of cereal in the meantime. While eating, I thought about how I reacted last night: how rude I was to Dani and then me confessing to Hyein that I was thinking about Hanni. God I just hope she doesn't remember what I said last night. Hopefully she was so tired that she just forgot or something.
"So what are these errands that you need to run?" Hyein asked after we just left the neighborhood.
"Nothing much..." I lied, "let's go inside here real quick." I pointed at the company building for Hanni's initial audition.
"Why are we..." Hyein then processed all her thoughts, "OH. MY. G-"
"shut up and be quiet while I talk to them."
"whatever you say lover-girl~"
We carefully walked into the building. It was a huge lobby filled with adults in their fancy business suits and briefcases. They were either all talking with each other or talking on the phone, some even were talking through those stupid Bluetooth earphones you see in the movies. I walked up to the front desk, "Hello? I'd like to talk to someone regarding a music audition?"
"Sorry ma'am but our audition process is over. You just missed it last week."
"Yeah no, I know, but is there any possible way to have a late audition for my friend? She had to skip out last week because of family emergencies."
