I feel like getting to London took forever. Driving to the airport, being in a flight for fucking ever and now getting into ANOTHER car, just for me to drive again. God. If only my life was just normal. But no, I had to fall for a mysterious man who I found out was a vampire, and then I found out I was 12 million mystical things. Ugh.

But I'm doing this for Pedro. And he's all that matters to me.

Here I am, driving towards a place where I have no directions to, only descriptions of. I decide to break this awkward silence between me and Jasmine.

I clear my throat. "So, are you gonna decide to turn your back on me and go all wolfy again once we get there?" I say. I mean, it is a serious question. There is no trust between us anymore. She's no longer trust worthy.

She sighs. "I did that for a reason, I already told you."

Looking over at her, i see she's already staring at me.
"Yeah, I know what you said. But that doesn't mean I can trust what you say, remember, actions speak louder than words do."

Placing her hand on top of my shoulder, she looks at me with a heartfelt look. "I'll prove it to you Marah. You are and will always be my best friend. I did what I had to do to protect you." She says.

Before I get to talk, she decides to state one other thing.
"But since you're gonna be a whiney asshole and be pissy with me, then I'll be mad at you for what you did!"

My eyebrows furrow in confusion. What the fuck did I do to her? I didn't betray her like she did me.

Slightly twisting my head, but keeping my eyes on the road, i give a confused look.
"What the fuck did I do to you?" I growl.

She huffs. "You tried blinding me you bitch! You dug your fingers into my eyes the first time you seen me as a wolf, it's when everyone started fighting!"

"Excuse me? First off, I have no recollection of anything that happened that night. I went all loopy and blacked out after my body started turning. So that's not my damn fault." I say with eyebrows raised. "At least you still have your eyesight." I whisper to myself.

Jasmine takes notice and smirks. "Barely."

Hearing her, I giggle slightly. Once Jasmine hears me laugh, she then erupts with laughter. In unison we bough crack up, reliving a time of crisis. It shouldn't be funny, but knowing it was me and her. Well we just can't help it.

The laughter dies down. "I'm honestly sorry Mar."

I swallow the lump in my throat. I didn't expect to hear her say that word. Even when we were kids and got into arguments, even if she was wrong and knew it, she would never apologize. But this time is different. I actually feel like she is being sincere.

I nod my head. "Uh-yeah. Don't worry about it. I won't hold a grudge."

She gives a soft smile. "Thanks."

...

"Ugh, where the hell are we?" Jasmine asks with an annoyed tone in her voice.

I roll my eyes. "I have no fucking clue, it's not like I brought a map with me." I say sarcastically. "All I know is Takkena said it was behind a waterfall somewhere, and there you will see a vine doorway or something like that."

Honestly, after all this walking, I'm surprised I haven't passed out yet. Once we got to where we thought looked like something that was from the description Takkena gave us, we just dropped the car in the middle of know where and started walking.

"Maybe we should just, i don't know, use our powers and run." She says sarcastically. "You're insanely fast, and I can turn into a wolf and run pretty fast too. It'll be easier."

I mean, she has a point. Even if she is being a sarcastic bitch. But if we run too fast then we might miss the area we're supposed to be at and there's no way that can happen. Not with what's at stake.

"I understand what you're saying but-" I start to say but get cut off.

She crossed her arms. "You're afraid aren't you."

I stand up straight. "What?" I ask.

Still crossing her arms, she furrows her brows. "You're afraid to use your powers, aren't you?"

I huff. "Wha- no."

Stalking towards me, she looks me dead in my eyes. "You are aren't you. Just admit it."

Rolling my eyes, I groan. "Why does it matter?"

"Because you're barely ever afraid." She says with a tone in her voice that sounds upset.

I shrug. "I get afraid sometimes, like I'm afraid right now. About Pedro, and about... you." I speak. "What makes you think I'm never afraid?"

She goes quiet. "You're afraid of me?"

I frown, looking off into the distance. "Well, I mean-" I start to say, that's until I spot an open area with hanging leaves covering the entrance.

"Oh shit."

Jasmine looks confused. "What?" She says.

I smile. "I think I found it. Look." Pointing towards the direction of the leafy area. "Come on, let's go."

She breathes out a big breath. "Okay. But once this is all said and done, the conversation isn't over."

Shaking my head. "Yeah, I know."
Walking through the open archway, we step towards a hidden waterfall. And behind that waterfall is an entrance which is covered in vines.

Stepping towards it, i take a deep breath.
"You know once we get in there, things are about to change. We will have to fight." She says with nervousness in her voice.

Biting my lip, I nod. "No matter what, we stick together. So please, don't turn your back on me. Besides Pedro, you're my only family."

Her lip quivers. She grabs my body and pulls me into a tight hug, grabbing her back, I hug her even tighter. "When things go down, let's hope we see each other on the other side. Me, you and Pedro."

I smile before turning towards the entrance.
"Lets fuck shut up and get Pedro back." I say.
