Chapter Three: Cattle Drive

"What are you doing to her?!" Holly yelled, being held by the arms of some scientists. She was visiting Little Birdie to let her try some meat she had gotten for her until she heard her crying, she ran as quick as she could, to see the scientists injecting her, running stats and pulling out more tools. "You're hurting her!" Tears were threatening to spill from Holly's eyes. "She'll be fine." Said Dr Wu, no emotion in his eyes. The Indominus looked to her with pleading eyes. Holly kicked one of the scientists knees, making him loosen his grip on her, she pulled her arm away from the other one. She ran towards Little Birdie, scooping it up in her arms she ran out of the room, scientists following.

"We thought it'd be fun." Darius said, fire crackling. "We thought we'd be safe but- we didn't realize the horror waiting for us on the island. Claws, teeth, screaming." Sammy gasps huddling her feet together. "So much screaming." I sit on the edge of my seat, anxious to know what happens next. "How much screaming?" Ben asks nervously. "Shh!" Kenji shushes him, Ben still gripping on his arm, huddling close to him. "He's getting to the good part!" Darius continued, yellow hood over his head. "The T. Rex stalked closer. Her jaws open wide." As he's about to continue he's cut off by a camera flashing, he takes his hood off. "For the vlog." Brooklyn says. "Keep telling your little story." Darius sighs and puts his hood on. "Oh here we go." Kenji says, Ben still holding on to him. The fire crackled louder. "The T. Rex sta"- Brooklynn interrupted. "Dang!" Kenji groaned. "Out of space, sorry, hold on. I just don't wanna delete my selfie on Everest, you know?" Darius sighed. "Maybe I should just start over."- "No!" Ben interrupted. "In fact, you can just stop. Kenji looked at him. "Dude chill he's not even telling the story right now." He tries to move his arm away. "And how is your grip this strong?!" "Shouldn't we call Yasmina over?" Sammy asked, looking at Yasmina, who was busy drawing. "I bet she'd love this story." I looked over at her. "She clearly wants space, we shouldn't." Darius flopped on the bench. "I don't understand." Sammy said. "You how sometimes people just wanna be left alone?" I asked rhetorically. Sammy laughed. "Holly, you're hilarious. I think she's just shy and doesn't know how to make camp friends." I rolled my eyes, I could see she was trying to do good, but Yasmina liked being alone.

Suddenly, thunder clapped, scaring Sammy and the others, Brooklynn covered her phone and pulled it to her chest. "Maybe we should head inside." Said Sammy as raindrops fell. "Way ahead of you!" Said Ben, who had already released his grip on Kenji and was on his way inside. I stayed with Darius. "That was a waste of time," Said Brooklynn. Darius scoffed. I sat next to him. I gently pulled his hood down to get a look at his face. "I liked your story." I said, moving his hood up again. "Thanks Holly." He said smiling red faced at me. "We should get inside." He didn't move but still stared at me. "Yeah."

The sky looked beautiful as the storm clouds cleared away, standing in front of the Herbivores on the grass field were gyrospheres. "Oooh! This is gonna be so much fun!" Sammy exclaimed. "Oh man! I'm driving!" Said Ben. I giggled having rode gyrospheres all the time. "We get to drive gyrospheres?" Asked Darius as he walked up to one. "Cool!" Dave gestured to all the gyrospheres. "Saddle up dudes and dudettes. We're going on a cattle drive! But with dinosaurs. It's a dino drive!" Ben raised his hand. "Just to be clear, all these dinos are herbivores, right?" Roxie put her hand to her chin. "Well, they only chewed the last kid a little, so we're like ninety-nine percent sure they're cool." Ben whimpered. I stepped forward. "Park personnel are moving a group of dinosaurs to fresh grazing lands across the island, and we get to ride along behind the herd." I spoke. Darius freaked out. "Are you kidding me? Dinosaur migration patterns are my jam!" Kenji put his hand on Darius' shoulder. "You might wanna consider a new jam bro." Kenji then moved to Roxie and Dave, now putting his arms around their shoulders. "So uh, you sure these things are waterproof? Looking pretty grim out here and hair this awesome does not come easy." Dave did not look amused. "Your hair is gonna be fine, Kenji. Storm has already moved up the coast away from us." Kenji smirked. "Cool! Time to show these fools what a gyrosphere expert can do." Roxie pulled his arm. "No way! You are riding with Ben, as a passenger." Kenji's smirk fell. "But-seriously? But he's so." He points to Ben who tried moving the joystick on the gyrosphere but panicked and fell against the glass. Roxie smirked at him. "Live it up, tough guy." Kenji groaned.
